Persona vs Clearblue

After coming off the pill, my cycles are insane - 50+ days. I'm charting temp & CM, but would like to invest in a ovulation detector (can you tell that i'm a retentive person?). What are the main differences between Persona & Clearblue? Initial expense, ongoing expense?

Any others that I should consider?

Neither is recommended to women with irregular cycles and both state this quite clearly on the packaging.

I would definitely make an appointment with your GP to check that you are ovulating. Cycles that are over 35 days can indictate anovulation.

Also, because the pill artificially regulates menstruation, it can mask underlying hormonal conditions (such as PCOS and thyroid problems) for years. Regular periods on the pill do not indictate that you have a consistent cycle naturally. It's only once off the pill that a women can see how regular or irregular her cycles really are.

HTH and best of luck.

I've been to see my GP - who advises that if my cycles haven't settled by 6 months post pill to come back and they would do ovulation tests.

i do have an underlying thryoid condition - but its been under control for over 6 years.

by CM & Temp - i appear to be about to ovulation so fingers crossed this month!
