We are planning to TTC DC3 from June next year. We are planning to try the Shettles method to try for a girl as we have 2 boys already. We don't mind a third boy so if it doesn't work then that is fine.

It says you have to really know your cycles so you can pin point ovulation. With the boys I just stopped taking the pill and we had sex from day 11 to day 18 and I never really knew when I was ovulating.

When would you stop taking the pill to get to know your cycle and what is the best way to track it?

Thank You

A friend of mine has just concieved a girl using an ovulation monitor
They had sex every other day until they got a smiley face on the monitor (not sure which brand they used, but I think they all work in a very similar way) and then had a break for a week or so
Of course there is no way of knowing for certain if it was this, or just chance!

I would stop taking as soon as you can. I stopped taking the pill over 8 weeks ago and I still haven't had a period. I have been reading and it can take about 6mths to a year for some women's bodies to regulate.

Good luck x
