Im hoping someone might be able to enlighten me..

I am on day 10 of my cycle, have been ttc #2 for 19 months, and was prescribed 50mg of clomid which i took days 1-5 this cycle.

However was not given any clear info on when we should bd..Does anyone have any idea? My cycles range from 29-31 days.

I had a scan on day 16 of last month and there was an egg just about ready to be released, but im not sure if i will be ovulating around the same time or if the clomid will make ov happen a little earlier than that??

TIA

Clomid's main (and only) job is to work harder. Its usually prescribed when there are problems with ovulating.

Do you have a diagnosis of the subfertility problem?.

Would suggest you bd as and when you both feel like it; do not put yourselves under any more pressure by going down any timed intercourse route. That will do neither of you any favours at all.

Who BTW prescribed the clomid, are you currently udner the care of a cons gynae at a hospital subfertility unit?. If you are not then you should be given the 19 months of ttc without success. At this stage there is likely to be a problem with either one or equally both of you are contrinbuting to the subfertility.

Have both of you been tested to date to see where the problem with conception actually lies?. Both of you should be tested in tandem.

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks for answering attila,

I saw a consoultant at the gaenacology clinic in october, after doctors tests showed im not ovulating.

The transvaginal scan showed no other problems. However my dp has not been tested,as the cons didnt see any need for it just yet as we already have a 2year old son together.
