Might be encouraging news for some people?

It starts from Next April - I am 40 next april. My current situation is that I missed getting the one free cycle as I was referred 2 months two late by my GP. According to the old criteria I had to be 37 years and 6 months at the point of referral.

Does anyone know if this will change?

Or what the N.I.C.E guidelines are RE age as I have an appointment next week and I really want to push this. HELP!

Hi

I found this site when looking into ivf - very helpful most give the age criteria when you click on the area.. some of them go over 40 so always a chance your local area will have changed..

thanks (I am the op, different name can't be bothered to change back)

Have had it confirmed that they class time of referral as the point you see the consultant rather than the point you get referred by your gp which means I missed my chance by just a couple of months as I was on a waiting list for a while to get the appointment. A real shame for me and am sure I won't be able to push this with them

Wales seem particularly bad unfortunately.
