Faulty Clear Blue tests

I came off the pill 7 weeks ago and still no period (lots of symptoms) have tested with some very cheap ebay tests and all have been negative. I was due to get my flu jab today so decided I would get a clear blue test to make sure. I bought a twin pack and BOTH didn't work. I didn't get a control line in either of them (until a few hours later when there was a faint line in control window and a very faint positive but I know you are not supposed to read after that long ) Has anyone else had this experience and does anyone know what tests seem to be the most reliable?? They wouldn't give me my flu jab by the way, just in case!

Phone the Clear Blue people and they'll send you a replacement. I'd go for a Boots or Superdrug own brand and see how you get on with those.

Ok I will. Thanks for the reply. I will give it a week to see if anything arrives and then I will go and get another test. Hope I either confirm I am PG soon or get my period so I can work out my cycle! I can't keep bying tests and testing, I won't be able to afford a baby by the time it comes!

molly i sympathise. Its crappy isnt it. It does take a while sometimes for your cycle to settle down after the pill though.

molly I always pee into a little pot and dip the stick in to make sure that it's got enough on it. I know I'm paranoid, but I also know I can't pee straight .

Perhaps try it that way and see if that helps?

Hopefully you'll only need to do it once

I am going to give it a week or so and test again. Gosh not sure how long I can cope with this baby making thing, I will be a nervous wreck in a few months!
