Any thoughts please? Driving myself mad with confusion! Just had a baby 4 months ago. Had sex literally ONCE since giving birth (!) - one week ago - condom came off, faint positive pregnancy test yesterday, only one week later. Period was also due yesterday.(I have a very regular cycle of 25 days and this would have been my third period since giving birth) However this would mean that I ovulated 7 days before my period was due which would indicate a luteal phase defect, would it not? What are the chances of this pregnancy continuing, or have I tested far too early???

Counting back with dd, she must have been conceived very late in my cycle, but I have very irregular cycles, so its hard to know. As a rule, you dont get false positives, I would wait a few days and test again if af doesnt come.

My luteal phase was very short after having dd and then gradually lengthened to a more normal length. This is very, very normal. It's your hormones settling down.

When I got pg with dd, I had a positive pregnancy test 8 days after conceiving so it's definitely possible.
