D&V and a missed period

I hope I have put this in the right place, i thought the ladies here would be the most likely to know the answer.

So, i was due my period on Saturday, it usually appears sometime around mid afternoon and it didnt. saturday night/sunday morning i was suffering from a D&V type thing, stopped by about 11am sunday morning but i spent all day sunday in and out of sleep. monday i was fine.

so basically my question is, could this have caused my period to be late? currently 3 days late and counting. i did a clearblue digital test this morning and it was a BFN

Hi phoenix. Your ovulation can be delayed at the beginning of your cycle by stress/illness etc. However your luteal phase (post ovulation) is rarely changed by more than a day or two. If the test is BFN it's likely you're not pregnant. Could you have ovulated late?

i'm really not sure, its not really something i pay attention to (silly thing to say on a conception board ) i'm not activelt ttc but just hoping on the offchance so really dont know much about when i ovulate.
