Just thought I'd say hello very quickly. By me reckoning, it's at least a week before I can even test. I hate this. I don't remember being like this when ttc#2!

Mummy369 · 09/11/2009 19:53

A friend with new partner on cycle 2 just got BFP - am SO pleased for her - have directed her to the July ante-natal thread!

Chulita · 10/11/2009 08:07

I definitely get more nervous reading this thread...left to myself I just gear myself up for not getting pg this cycle but then I read all of this and my calm outer veneer begins to crack.
It's the 2ww getting to me, I'm totally dreading the 15th [sigh] brace yourself for tears ladies!

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 10:54

Chulita: I know what you mean.
DH was a bit tired last night and therefore not in the mood really, and whilst I didn;t want to push it too much I felt quite upset about it all and know I'll be all emotional when AF arrives...

See, i'm saying when not if too..

I think I should stop focusing on dates etc and just go with the flow... bit tricky when ovulation pains are so obvious as a reminder.. The next 2 weeks will be a tricky time me thinks, and it's only cycle 1 too!

TeaFan · 10/11/2009 11:14

Chulita & Cazzr I can sympathise, I almost wish I was still in blissful ignorance about the whole thing TBH, every month towards the end of the 2ww DP bans me from MN but I still sneak on here lol!

I kind of struggle with the whole 'timing' thing, DP and I have been together for 11 years and are long past the stage of 'doing it 2-3 times per week'! Therefore we have to take the targetted approach which is NOT romantic in the slightest. I long for the day when I can go back to doing it for fun and when we both want to which i'm not ashamed to say is only 2-3 times per month!

nattiecake · 10/11/2009 12:09

CD25... eek!!
no sign of AF yet

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 12:55

TeaFan: we aren't that regular either (usually to knackered), which makes me more concious of the fact that I probably wouldn't be pushing so much to DTD if it weren't for the fact we are trying to conceive.
Kinda takes the romance out of things eh!

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 12:56

Nattie: crossing my fingers and toes for you! Makes walking tricky tho... LOL

lovesaruby · 10/11/2009 13:47

Clearly tmi but anyone had ewcm after ovulation? Clearly ov'd last week, + ov stick, temp rise that has been sustained but now today more ewcm. What the bleedin nora is that about??? Now paranoid that last weeks signs are all wrong and Im ov-ing really late this month. Grrr, I hate this!

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 13:51

Has it gone away and come back again? I still have some and ov'd last night but not sure how longit lingers afterwards. Never been quite so interested in such things! LOL

Chulita · 10/11/2009 14:05

Deffo tmi from me but I get ewcm for about 4 days so I have no idea which day is the actual ov day.
I was pushing for bd every other day when I thought I was fertile and felt very unromantic. DH is on a really busy course so for once in our relationship he's too bothered to want it. It does feel forced for sure, DD was just a merry mistake, happened so easily, I'm stumped as to why the second one is so much more complicated!

lovesaruby · 10/11/2009 14:27

Cheers ladies - Cazzr, yes it had gone away, since last weds but now popped back again, now thats just weird. Chulita - Ive been led to believe that it goes away pretty quickly after ovulation has occurred - so maybe your ov'ing on the last day of the four? My dh is pretty much the same - we bd'd pretty much every day last week, think if I said I wanted to do it just for fun he'd say no! Our first dd was an unexpected surprise too and we were lucky to catch first cylce with dd2, have a feeling we'll be in it for the long haul this time. Good luck and lots of babydust!

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 15:00

Lovesaruby: i hear it's possible to ovulate twice so get BD'ing I say. As for DH, tell him it's a sacrifice he should be willing to make or you'll post a facebook status saying he turned down sex! LOL

Of course, I can't take my own advice hey!? Will try a non-obvious method of seducing DH tonight I think.. Lasts nights candles and slinky nightie were obviously a bit OTT... LOL

lovesaruby · 10/11/2009 15:34

Lol! I like it, nothing like a bit of blackmail to get him in the mood (grin).
Happy humping!

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 19:24

really big

Cazzr · 10/11/2009 19:25

i meant "really big grin" emoticon rather than suggesting anything.... i'll be quiet now.. lol

PoppyIsApain · 10/11/2009 21:59

I give up with these silly ovulation tests, I have had signs and tested twice and nothing , so demorilising im just going with the flow from now on and try to make it fun IYKWIM.
Anyone else having problems with cheapy ovulation tests or is it just me?

ToffeeMuser · 11/11/2009 08:20

I've never used ovulation tests Poppy, I'm going for the "see what happens" approach.

Is anyone at the front of the bus going to POAS soon? I feel the need for excitement!

SparklyAlice · 11/11/2009 08:42

I think i am going for the 'hop on every night all next week' approach

According to the MN ovulation calender it is tues, weds, thurs, fri, sat next week, but because i get ovulation pains early, i will be starting from the day after AF finishes (covering all bases)

Even though i know that the majority of women don't fall pg immediately, i was pretty sure i would so still a bit gutted that i'm not. How sad.

Cazzr · 11/11/2009 09:17

Feeling like I might as well hop off this bus as very much doubt i'll be pg in 2 weeks. Dh has not been in the mood as he is tired and stressed bout work.
Feel pretty rubbish and paranoid now.
Please someone poas and brighten up my day..

Loujalou · 11/11/2009 09:27

Does anyone know if you can get a positive OPK and not ovulate? Just first month of temping and my temp does not seem to have gone up.

Also think I had sex too early in my cycle so might hop off bus too

Chulita · 11/11/2009 09:31

Ok, so what's POAS?
I've got 4/5 days til AF is due and I don't feel remotely pg. I might have bd'd too early too, I did follow some fertility calendar online but maybe it was off...all that effort for nothing!

Cazzr · 11/11/2009 09:42

poas = pee on a stick..
