Condom split on 19 September - still no period, am I silly to think I may be pregnant?

I think the first day of my last period was 11th Sept. Last had sex on 19th Sept, and the condom split. Thought about getting MAP but then had a family disaster over the weekend and forgot! Haven't had a period since. Am quite worried as have a nearly 3yr old and nearly 6 yr old daughters.

Having spent the last 2 yrs really wanting another and my DH not, had finally got my head round not having any more and also decided that we can't really afford any more (I know thats not a pc thing to say).

So, now keep thinking my period will come each day, I feel like its started and then it is just more normal discharge (god, I hate that word).

Have not dared broach the possibility with DH, not sure what he will say. Have given myself until the weekend to get a Preg test. My periods have always been really regular, but my last daughter was concieved straight after the end of a period - I didn't realise until I had an argument about dates with Obstetric Specialist that you can ovulate twice in a month!

Any thoughts?

How long is your cycle usually?

Might be an idea to test if you are late already?

lou031205 · 14/10/2009 20:23

I would say yes. You had sex on day 8, which means viable sperm could be present until day 15.

girlsyearapart · 14/10/2009 20:27

yes you could be. take a test.then come back and tell us the result!
If you are it won't be the end of the world if you had wanted another...

Oh blimey! Wasn't sure if I was worrying for no reason and had got my numbers muddled with how long cycles are ment to be etc!
I think I will wait until the weekend to test, it may give some time to think about what to say to DH. Thanks for all your comments, it's helped as I can think of nothing else now!

We are TTC no3 so I am thrilled for you, it's very exciting and your 'big girls' will love having a little baby to fuss over.
