natural conception after IVF

Guess I am after some miracle stories. After 6 rounds of IVF I have had 4 unsuccessful cycles, 1 miscarriage and 1 beautiful son. I have stepped off the IVF roller coaster (emotionally drained, knackered, run out of time, money etc). But I pray that despite the odds I may just conceive naturally. I would love another baby. Are there any mums here who thought that they never could and then wham they were PG. I guess I just like to dream........and hear miracle stories. Please give me a crumb of hope...........

its not happened to me but i work for health visitors and one day a few months ago one of our lovely mums came in and looked a bit sheepish, her first baby was only about 9 months at the time, i asked her why she looked so smug, she burst out laughing and said "your going to go mad but im pregnant again", i was sooo delighted for her. i said im delighted not mad!!!apparently her first baby was ivf but this one was not planned at all but very very welcome.
its not the first time ive heard of this happening so you never know.

angelfire, I had 5 years of infertility, 3 rounds of IVF, 1st two ended in m/c, 3rd in my beautiful and amazing son who was born on Father's Day last year.

I have "completely" blocked tubes according to a lap and dye so we didn't bother with contraception. In February this year I booked a GP appt cos I had been feeling sick and tired for a couple of weeks and wasn't getting any better - luckily the day before my appt I realised . . . I was pg!

I am now nearly 37 weeks - no one can explain it, least of all our IVF cons who was gobsmacked .

I hope you get your miracle too .

We went through IVF twice. No children. Then gave up trying and had two naturally.

We had endless fertility treatment to concieve our DD just 1, I found out on her 1st birthday I was pg again We were given very poor oods of concieving naturally ever. Our consultant is very .

My friend finally had ds1 after 6 rounds. 12 months later she was PG. She was absolutely amazed for obvious reasons but also because i don't think there'd been a lot of bd ing!

1st round of IVF produced ds1
2nd round of IVF failed
3rd round of IVF produced dts

when dts were 9mths I fell pregnant naturally and miscarried at 9 weeks we were in but wanted to see if we could do it again and when they were 21 mths ds3 was born - now we use contraception

Angelfire - We've had 2 rounds of ivf - 1 didn't work 2nd ended in mc at 8 weeks.
We planned to have another go this September however I found out i was pregnant in may - I'm 24 weeks now and really can't believe it!

Similar story here, had got to the point where I was fed up with hearing other people's miracle conception stories and then it happened to me ... 1st IVF v lucky ended in dd1, 2nd IVF mc. Then went to see consultant about starting 3rd (and final!) round, big discussion about cycle etc, went away waiting to do blood tests at beginning of next period ... which never appeared and we got dd2 instead! When I went back to see my GP (who'd referred me to IVF clinic in 1st place), he said, "You'd be surprised the number of times I see this happen!". So you never know, next time it might be you.
