Advice needed ladies - Lazy Swimmers?

Hi everyone,

My parter went for a sperm test and the doctor described his sperm as 'lazy'. He has handed in another sample and now awaits those results!

Has anyone had experience of this? How worried should we be?

Sounds like the motility isn't great, newmember. How worried you should be all depends on what the numbers are when you get them and what the second test shows. Should never make a diagnosis on just one analysis as they can vary so much. I would recommend Zita West's book Fertility and Conception - has great section on sperm and what the results should be and what to do about it if they're not great i.e. which lifestyle changes to make and what supplements to take. Sperm quality and quantity can definitely improve as a result of these kinds of changes, regardless of what your doctor might tell you! Good luck.
