Which is the first day of my cycle?

With AF I often have at least 3 or 4 days of light rusty coloured blood before I get the full cramps, lots of red blood bit (sorry if TMI). Which counts as the first day of my cycle? The first sign of any blood or when it really starts flowing? I have read conflicting things about this.

Any ideas?

Hi Lilysma. I have always been told it is the day you actually start properly bleeding, Discharge and little bits dont count.

But please dont take my word as gospel x

That's right. 1st day is 1st day of fresh red bleeding and doesn't include any brownish spotting. Are you TTC?
