How do you know when you've ovulated

Ok ladies stupid question. Usually I get EWCM and know that I have ovulated but yesterday I got pinching pains in lower abdomen and couldn't sleep on my tummy as it was tender. Also got EWCM and smile on digi OPK.

Just wondered what other people have.

I normally get EWCM in the build-up and then on the day of ovulation itself get a pain in my abdomen (sometimes left and sometimes right). EWCM then stops pretty abruptly and then it's just wait, wait, wait...
