Help me get a grip!

AF was due tues or weds - never normally this late. Feel preg (although could easily be in my mind). This was our first month of 'trying'. Done about a million preg tests, all said negative. Last one was yesterday evening. How long should I leave it before I do another test. Or should i say, how little time can I leave it before I do another test? This waiting is doing my head in!

dhw theres two things that could be happening

your body could be playing cruel tricks on you as it knows you are actively ttc and your mind knows how much you want to be pg so making your body think it is which is making your af late

or

you are pg but ovulated much later than you thought so nothing showing as yet on the pg test

best advice i could give you is to go to the docs explain to them and tell them you want a blood test done

I've been there and done that. Visited every chemist from miles around even to avoid going into the same one and being thought of as neurotic.
As much as its constantly on your mind I would leave it 2 or 3 days before you do another one if you weren't to go to the doctor. I would do the test with the first wee of the morn to.

I tried for a couple of years and there was many a time my period was late and I thought i was pg and in the end I wasn't and it would break my heart. Not to put a downer on your possible great news but just to say be prepared.

bubbly - this is a really stupid question - but i don't understand when people say maybe they ovulated later than they thought - surely if i ovulated later than I thought then i wouldn't be pregnant?

I think the sperm can hang around quite a long time - a few days?

dhw what cam is saying is right, sperm can live for a few days

also do you remember every single bd you have done this month? do you remember bding later in you cycle?

perhaps you ovulated on cd20 (for eg) and you bd on cd19 but forgot all about it as you assumed that bd wasnt relevant in ttc as you assumed you ovulated on day 13/14/15

Got AF today. 5 days late. Very disappointed!
