Hello all

I am hoping you can help. My step sister has just discovered that she has very little chance of conceiving naturally as she has begun an early menopause. Ever since she got this news she has completely clammed up on me and refuses to talk to me about the fact she is starting the whole IVF process. I know through family that she is harvesting eggs from a cousin of her's. The reason that I write is that I know so little about the whole process and I want to be supportive of her. I have read posts but have no idea what all the abbreviations mean. EWCM? TCOYF?

I wish I knew of folk who have tried IVF successfully - does anyone have any stories? I feel very redundant and upset for her.

If I try to find out about IVF processes on line it is all so scientific - I am like 'what does this mean?'

Any info would be so gratefully received.

xx

Hi Crummymummywhodrinks, i can only help you out with one abbreviations EWCM = Egg White Cervical Mucus.

I haven't been through IVF myself yet but that is our next step, the only advice i can really give is that i don't always feel like talking about the things i am going through especially with family/friends. it probably helps her a lot knowing that if she needs someone that she has someone there that she can turn to.
