Ok so it's my first month of trying to work out my cycle lengh but to be honest i'm alittle bit confused but i'm sure you lovely ladies will know the answer.

So a couple of days before I started to bleed poperly I had at least 2 days, maybe even 3 days of brown/dark red mucus type stuff down there but not enough to use anything IYKWIM, so when do I calculate my first cycle day from??

Is it from when to proper bleeding kicked in or from the start of the spotting type stuff??

Thanks

It's from the first day of proper bleeding.

Yep, it's first day of proper red bleed. I had the same most months, 2-3 days of brownish stuff before the real thing started.

I get the same. Main thing is to be consistent though, so you have an idea of how fertile you may be on each cycle day.

If you always get spotting and have a clockwork cycle, you don't need a super sensitive PG test - if the spotting doesn't arrive, you can be fairly sure you've been successful

Thanks Ladies,

Yes that would make alot of sense Joolsiam is should have thought of it like that too.
