MaddyD I think the rule of thumb is the as long as it isn't still remaining in your body when you are ttc then its ok.
When my sister was ttc if her AF arrived she would eat Brie (as that is her fav) as she thought it wouldn't matter but when she mentioned this to the doctor he told her the harmfull bugs (is it listeria) can remain in your body for much longer. Most drugs ie hayfever tablets completely leave your system in 3 days.

BTW I saw my GP today and she perscribed me some antibiotics that should clear up the UT infection if I have it she says if it still feels strange in 3 days then to bring in a sample.

Am trying to focus on other things atm and am almost looking forward to the Ofsted visit as I will be able to ask the inspector about taking on an assistant

Diddle · 13/06/2005 19:37

xena do you know when you're visit is??? and when was your last one before this one?

No I don't know when my visit is I have requested they come to inspect the part of my house they didn't reg when we moved here 18mths ago. I haven't ever had a proper inspection, I called them to ask if I had been over looked and they said no they just hadn't actioned one yet (I've been reg 2.5ys )

Hello ladies

Well, it was my first day back at work today and was quite busy. Was just doing OK apart from every customer I had an appointment with wheeled a pushchair in but then I finally cracked when this girl brought in a big pram and when I had a peek it was a gorgeous newborn girl lying there. Work were really good about it and asked if I was ready to return and yes I am because if I stay at home I get even more depressed so I WILL return tomorrow. One poor girl didn't know and asked me if I was crying because I was missing my DD.

When I went to the toilet at work when I got there I found a big clot on my pad and I think it might have been the baby-I feel so sad to think we have to flush our babies down the toilet

Xena-I know what you mean about the sonographers-they click and press and don't show you the screen so you immediately know all is not well then put on a glum face and say I'm sorry but you have miscarried. I know that they are only doing their job but that image stays with us. Please be careful if taking antibiotics when TTC as some of them can cause your baby to be born with black bones and teeth-the bones you can't see but of course you can the teeth. My friend told me this a while ago when I was on them as her Doctor told her. I think it depends on the type though.

Maddyd-how are you today-did you have as much sleep as me last night-0 hours?

Diddle, HellKat, spacecadet, Lottielou, RachelRog, Tabs, Cori and anyone else I might have forgotten - BIG HUGS to you all!

It has rained here all day so at least my DH hasn't gone out on his motorbike as I have started to worry that I won't see him again when he goes out to his bike club.

Well, I'm missing Eastenders so must go.

Bye for now
x

Xena · 13/06/2005 20:55

HC I'm not ttc yet as i'm on the pill but I've never heard of black bones??

spacecadet · 13/06/2005 21:26

hellkat-dd1 has one of those crazy wrap machines, im her guinea pig!

Diddle · 13/06/2005 22:37

Humphreyscorner - (((((((hugs)))))))) to you, sounds like you did a good job at work today, i'm surprised you held it together as long as you did. You did great, and yes it horrible to know that we could be flushing our babies down the toilet, so sad. filling up now.
Bloody Hormones, Af's fault, i get emotional enough at the best of times.

Look after yourself.

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 13/06/2005 22:39

I hadn't either until my friend told me-very worrying. Sorry, didn't realise you were still on the pill.

HumphreysCorner · 13/06/2005 22:42

I just knew Michael Jackson would be found 'Not Guilty'. I think he is a boy that hasn't grown up due to missing out on his childhood.

HumphreysCorner · 13/06/2005 22:47

Bedtime now

Sweet dreams all and big hugs.

Am so sorry for keeping you all in suspense. I had got into work yesterday and was home by 9.30am as i was being sick and coudln't stop. Spent the day in bed.
Diddle - Sorry i didn't reply to your texts you were right i had no credit, i have lost my swipe card thing to get it topped up, DP was searchiong frantically for it so i cud text you back but no luck. I have to get a new one registered now! I was asleep when you called, only listened to your message this morning when i woke up. Thank you for being so concerned i was really touched, i burst out crying when i heard it.

maddyd · 14/06/2005 09:39

I have a flower on my rose tree, hooray. Im gonna fall pg this month. That is my sign.

Lottie are you not due till the weekend coming then????

Diddle · 14/06/2005 10:07

maddyd - i've got 4 or five bright pink roses on mine now too, and the 2nd one now has buds i'm so proud of it, and the fact ive kept it alive all this time.

Lottielou - THANK GOD you're alive, was getting a little worried. I realised after i'd left you're message that it may have sounded like diddle was my surname. Its not.
Sorry to hear you're not well, but i'm very pleased you're alive, thought you'd carked it.
Thats the additude, stay positive, you never know that BFP could be on its way, i hope so.
Missed you. I though maybe you'd be rushed to hospital or something, was planning when i could visit you and everything. phew, feel so relieved now.

OP posts:
Lottielou · 14/06/2005 10:51

Maddyd - I was due on the sunday just gone!
Diddle - Oh bless huni, ur so sweet. Thankyou for caring so much, i am really touched! No hospital visits for you so be resy assured. If it were to ever happen i wud get DP top let you know.
I am trying to be positive but think i may be a little over positive, i may be setting myself up for one hell of a fall. I hope not.
I have 2 CB digi tests to use, i hope i only have to use the one but hey ho! The wait is on now until Thurs, unless AF comes that is!
So how are you Diddles? what you been upto? Nice weekend?
Hope the rest of you are all o.k? x x x

Diddle · 14/06/2005 12:39

OP posts:
strike1 · 14/06/2005 14:35

I'm still here, been busy but watching you all......hmm that sounds creepy. Didn't have much to say lately as I was waiting for bleeding to stop, but it has now!!!! So all I have to do now is wait for AF to start and I can start planning. Stocked up on ov and pg test of all descriptions to keep me amused. sorry to hear you've been feeling ill Lottie and diddle.

Hope all are well and bding like mad! :0

Diddle · 14/06/2005 14:41

strike - very pleased to see you're still with us. I'm stocked up too, ready for the next cycle, just waiting for AF to stop too. Look after yourself and you carry on lurking and stalking us all as long as you want.

OP posts:
strike1 · 14/06/2005 14:47

I thought I'd stock up before going away. Going to my husband parents place in France for a big family thing next week and I'll be there for a few weeks (with internet access so I won't miss anything) but I don't want to get caught out and drink to much wine or indulge in too much Cheese! Where are you going on holiday diddle, are you off soon?

Diddle · 14/06/2005 14:53

Sounds lovely strike, the food in france is so nice, dont think i'd be able to resist the wine or cheese either.
I'm going to Fuertaventura a week tomorrow, juts Dh and I, and i know where the internet cafe is and i'm just checking if the hotel has internet access. Can't wait to be out of Engalnd though, will be lovely to get away from it all.
