Thanks Diddle.

Green tea on its own doesnt taste the best. But you can get it mixed with other flavours such as mint, also Twinnings do Green tea with fruit flavours such apple pear etc. I have been drinking it everyday since the beginging of my detox.
I always sweeten it with a bit of honey, makes it more bearable. Apparently you only have to drink half a cup a day for it to have its benefical effect.

Diddle · 03/06/2005 12:57

thats not too bad then, if i'm not lucky this month might give it a go.

hi there thanks for the advise i stopped bleeding 4 weeks ago we have 2 dss jack is 7 and james is 4 my dh desperatly wants a girl we caught the first month of trying then sadly miscarriaged while on holiday in lanzarote i was about 6 weeks

HumphreysCorner · 03/06/2005 13:21

Thanks Diddle

It's all the other little things that are upsetting like Mothercare ringing up with a marketing call on the afternooon after the scan, not their fault I know. Also, some maternity clothes I ordered arrived the same day so I will have to return them as they are summer ones. I also have to return my maternity exemption cert. Looking on the bright side though, I have just ordered some v early pregnancy testing strips off E-Bay so I can test for when my HCG levels drop and then see if they have risen. I am more desperate than ever to have a baby to proove that my body will carry one safely. When we started TTC#2 we said if it happens it happens-well, how differently I feel now. Heaven knows when my body will be ready to try again, I am already fed up with the bleeding and labour type pains. Perhaps I should have opted for the tablets or D&C. Bit of an essay I know so as DD is at mum & dad's for the day I'm off to sit outside before it rains.x

Diddle · 03/06/2005 13:31

humphreyscorner - Its horrible when tha sort of thing happens isn't it. a few weeks after my 1t m/c i had a scan appointment come through for my 12 wk scan, from the same hospital that i went to when i started losing it. That really upset me, i had maternity clothes come too, but i've kept them ready, they were a bit summery but i'm always hot so wearing short sleeved tops in winter woouldn't bother me. I also had a baby catalogue in with a parcel from boots, where i had only ordered some hair straighteners. Feels like they're rubbing your nose in it doesn't it?
You make the most of the nice weather while you can, it keeps raining here in the midlands, then bright sun then more rain.
Look after yourself and don't worry your body will get itself back to normal soon.

I know how you feel, HumphreysCorner I opted to let things happen naturally but changed my mind two days later and had an ERPC. The ladies at the epu were really good about my indecision so you can still change your mind. It's a misrable time, I work at home and am sending out invoices today. I am inputting things from when everything was ok, and keep thinking about how happy I was But on the up side we can all down loads of green tea to get super fetile then try again asap

Diddle · 03/06/2005 13:40

Humphreyscorner - really sorry to read your story.....exactly the same happened to me 10.5 weeks ago.....went for my 'routine' 12 week scan and 'baby' had stopped growing at 6 weeks - the sac looked the right size for 12 weeks and I was 12+2. Absolutely gutting isn't it. Felt like my life had been shattered.
feeling more positive now and hoping to get pregnant again ASAP. After my m/c all I wanted was to be pregnant again...and I amstill the same now!!! The only thing that will make me happy is a BFP!
Sorry again to read about your m/c and nothing I say will make you feel better....but it is so true that time fades the hurt and the tears dry up.

DIDDLE- my last two periods have been 25 days - but the first one was after my m/c and was not 'normal'. Going to hold out from testing till next Weds morning as a BFP will finish me off, me thinks.

Lottielou · 03/06/2005 18:53

Hi All!
Afraid i haven't had chance to read down the thread, bit boy i know how others feel now, playing catch up, it's gonna take me forever!
Diddle How are you huni? Had a good day? Wondering can you give me a quivk run down on the days events. Dinner is nearly ready n dont wanna have to dash off and miss any posts.
I've had a lovely time so far today, got up early went for a run and then we headed into Norwich so i cud do some Shopping, spent a fortune but felt so good! Little (ahem) retail therapy does u the world of good!
Well this is novel being on here at this time of the day!
Big hugs to all of u, it's really strange i'm far away from home but feel further away from you guys! How wierd! maybe thats ur influence Diddle, i know i'm close to u in the Midlands! Hmm, i dont know! Well aren't i the waffling one this evening!

Lottielou · 03/06/2005 18:54

So have u missed me?

RachelRog · 03/06/2005 18:56

Humphreyscorner - meant to say I couldn't bear to just wait so opted for the tablet and pessaries....but fortunately didn't need the pessaries. The worst experience of my life!!

Diddle - meant to say I am on cd22 today so I suppose period due with 3 days but my cycle before m/c was always 30 days or more so might get back to normal this cycle.

Diddle · 03/06/2005 18:57

Its been very quiet on here this afternoon but very chatty this morning.

We have a newby - HUmphreyscorner, she says "Unfortunately I started bleeding on this BH Monday and a scan on Weds revealed the baby had died at 6 weeks, sac had grown to 10 weeks (?)was 12 weeks +1. Anyway, have opted to let nature take its course with a rescan on 15th June to see if everything has gone". Not good, shes has tough time of it, with far too many reminders of her lost pregnancy, e.g. maternity clothes arriving, mothercare calling, having to send back her maternity exemption certificate.

Cori is back, has had in infection as she retained some placental tissue but not enough to do a d&c for, so she has to pass it naturaly and wil probably come with her AF.

everyone has been a little down today, maybe partly down to the naff weather.

My roses are blooming, a few shoots have started to open now, hope its a sunny weekend so they can grow some more.

Glad to hear you're having a good time and nice rest. Enjoy your tea. missing you loads

Eastbourne Diddle was thundering there when I left this morning but this afternoon was lovely and bright not cold enough for a coat.
I want to live by the sea.

HumphreysCorner · 03/06/2005 22:13

Evening all

Have been to my mum and dad's for tea and some TLC. Thank you all for your kind and comforting words-I don't feel so alone now.

RachelRog I am really considering phoning the EPU and having the D&C op, the tablets sound awful-might do it on Monday as still on holiday then. Anyway, have just watched Celeb Love Island-corny but a laugh and now off to watch Big Brother.

Nighty nightx

Xena · 03/06/2005 22:35

Hi HumphreysCorner sorry about what has happened I had a ERPC the day after my scan which when I am thinking rationally was the best thing to do. My cousin m/c 'naturally' and she said it was fairly awful and that convinced me to do it.
Have a good weekend and get some rest. Xena

HumphreysCorner · 04/06/2005 12:34

Afternoon ladies

Hope you are having a relaxing weekend.

Xena-after my scan I felt I had to just get out of the maternity hospital. Everbody round me were looking at scan pictures and I couldn't bear the thought of returning at 8am the next day and staying in for the D&C or tablets. I did wonder if anyone knew someone who had let things happen naturally and now you've said I am thinking hard about the next step. I know it sounds awful but if I let things just happen I might get to see the fetus but if I have the op or take the tablets I won't see anything.

I feel sad that I will never know the sex of my 2nd born but hey, musn't dwell on these things. Have been out in the garden weeding and digging with the faint hope that it will make things move a bit quicker.

Promise I'll rest later.

Hugs to everyone x

Lottielou · 04/06/2005 17:37

Hi All
LL IKEWYM, me and the DC's spent the day with my Grandad yesterday it was lovely to see DD1 skipping along holding his hand and DS asking his opinion on everything. DS thinks he is especially cool as he has SKY TV which we don't.
Spent the day rearranging the house and will be off to IKEA tomorrow to buy some new furniture.
Lots of love to all have a great weekend xxx
