I'm back ladies - sorry to have deserted! Figured I'd better haul my @rse to the gym again, so did that and had a nice gentle swim afterwards.

Lottielou - hope you have a good journey to Norfolk tonight. Will be nice to see you on here in the evenings for a change.

Diddle - hope your grandad is feeling better soon. After Lottie's message I have visions of an elderly gent fighting with a fir tree!!

Strike - good to hear that your doc was encouraging and you're feeling excited again.

Right - off to start making moussaka before I end up spending the whole afternoon mooching round MN again!

Diddle · 02/06/2005 15:37

hi Tabs - good to hear from you.
what sort of stuff do you do in the gym? I often wonder how much i will be able to do if i was pg? do you do much or more swimming than anything?

I had visions of grandad fighting a fir too he's ok, very well in himself just a slight imbalance in his blood now.

Lottielou · 02/06/2005 15:45

Diddle - LOL well i did that on purpose... honest(ahem) You know what i'm like with my typos!

Tabs - good to hear from you, thanks for your thoughts of my journey! Will be nice to chat to you all wen i'm not at work!

Maddyd - Where are you are you here?

And the rest of you, get your little buts on here!

Have we heard from Cori & Donbean, for a while or am i (Ha, was about to put am i being blonde, but cant anymore...Doh) having a moment?

Diddle · 02/06/2005 16:11

oh bugger, have just remembered that i have 3 kids coming for an hour in 20 mins, was looking forward to finishing, good job i remembered and didn't go out.

think i've lost my mind, my memory is terrible.

MaddyD i meant to say earlier one of my roses has got loads of buds too, ready to burst open as we speak. the other one has no buds and is still growing.
I wonder if it is just a coinsidence that one is blooming and obviously more developed than the other, they really do symbolise the children i ahve lost, the one with the buds the first m/c, and it is bigger and blooming earlier, as the baby would be. and the 2nd not developed as much, as the most recent baby would be. very spooky i think.

hope that waffling made sense.

Lottielou · 02/06/2005 16:20

LOL good job you have remembered.
It's not waffle it makes sense and i think it is lovely hun x

Tabs · 02/06/2005 16:35

Oh dear Diddle - seems you left your memory in bed when you got up this morning!

The funny thing about the gym is that I had just had a programme devised for me the day before I found out I was pregnant, but they have now reviewed it and changed it just a little for me.

I do some carido work - treadmill, rotex (cross trainer type thingy) and recline bike. The important thing for these is not to go above 70% of theoretical max heart rate, which for me is 140, as this would increase body temp to too high a level for baby. Spend about 35 mins plus cool down time in total on this lot.

I then do a couple of weight things - leg presses and a vertical traction machine - they've lightened the weight so that I'm not overexerting myself now (eg went from 85kg on leg press down to 65kg now).

I'm not allowed to do the abdominal stuff any more, but have a whole range of pelvic floor exercises instead.

And then I tend to swim afterwards to cool off and relax.

Have become very fat over last few years, so trying to change the vowel back to an i!!

Lottielou · 02/06/2005 16:40

Well Tabs sounds like you have got a really good regime there! Good for you!
Is running bad for you when you are PG? Just curious as WHEN I become PG I will hate to give up my running! Obvioulsy i wud if i needed to and would love to be in the position to have that as a choice! Just Curious

Tabs · 02/06/2005 16:43

Hi Lottie - I don't think running is bad for you, no. As long as you observe the same principle of not letting your heart rate go too high then it should be fine.

I think if you're not used to running then it might be a bit of a shock to the system and probably not advised, but when your body is already used to something the docs seem to think it best to carry on.

My doc told me about one of his patients who was still doing the can-can (on stage I think!) at 38 weeks!

Lottielou · 02/06/2005 16:48

Wow now that is impressive, OMG, can you imagine! LOL

Thanks for that advice hun! Nice to kow i can still do it!

maddyd · 02/06/2005 16:57

Xena · 02/06/2005 20:24

Thanks Tabs how is your pg going?

RachelRog · 02/06/2005 21:53

Hi Diddle

Any signs yet? We are both 8DPO tomorrow and I am starting to look for signs.....none yet for me.

Really, really, really want a BFP this month!

Tabs · 02/06/2005 22:03

Hi Xena - I think slowly about sums it up! Can't believe that I'll only be 5 weeks tomorrow. I thought it would all be a doddle once I actually got pregnant, but I'm so paranoid now that I am! I'm constantly knicker checking to see if I'm bleeding, I worry about every little ache and twinge that I have got, and every symptom that I haven't got but other people have!

Don't get me wrong though, I'm still ecstatic to actually be pregnant, but I just wish that there was some way of knowing whether everything is going to be ok or not. I suppose it's the equivalent of you guys wanting to know each month if it's going to be the month or not, or like Maddy just wanting to know when her AF will finally arrive.

It's all such a waiting game!
