Diddle · 01/06/2005 15:19

oooohhh tabs, i want sky plus, is it any good??? worth the money? i think we would record film more than anything, and CSI which i love

OP posts:
Tabs · 01/06/2005 15:29

I really can't imagine life without it now - sad or what!!! I just don't have to think about which programmes I want to watch, as everything I like is on series link so automatically gets recorded. It's annoying when it has a blip and fails, but that doesn't happen very often.

We got it before they brought out the larger hard drive version, but if we were buying it again now we'd def invest in the bigger one, as it's not hard to fill the disc if you go away for a couple of weeks.

Lottielou · 01/06/2005 15:31

No i'm still here but am mega busy. Havent had time to read the thread today but Hi to you all, hope you all havin a quieter day than i am!

Diddle · 01/06/2005 15:33

feel quite yucky this afternoon, like i'm going to be sick, very weird, and i have a banging headache probably from the kids running circles round me. Fancy a nice rest in front of the tv, or a bath with my book which i can't put down.

Feel like i'm waffling to myself, please ignore me everyone, i'm sure you have loads of work to do.
Its nice to be able to just let things out on here, wihtout needing a reply

Hi Diddle.......ooooooo we can be testing buddies. I think 10 DPO is the soonest a positive would show but I am going to wait until next Wednesday when I would be 13 DPO. I tested too early last month and don't want to do that again!! I have picked Wednesday and if it is a BFP I think my midwife is in on a Weds so I could make an appt.......dream....dream......dream.....

Yes I found the poetry really anoying too and it was too soon after my m/c so I had to go upstairs and watch it in the bedroom so I could sob in private......I sound like I like to torture myself don't I??

Taking son to swimming lesson so seeeeeeeeeeeee ya lata

Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:07

rachelorg yes we can be testing buddies, i think spacecadet and lottielou will be joining us. I know that i probably won't get a BFP by then as i have a long cycle of 35 days, so more likely to show up the week after next. I was going to try and wait until i had a late AF, if i do have one, rather than wasting my pennies on tests. but i have just ordered some off the net, they have Clearblue digital ones, packs of 3 for £11.70, thats good, they're nearer £20 in boots.

OP posts:
Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:09

and as i'm addicted to testing i migth keep you company next wednesday and test with you. purely so you're not on your own. honest

OP posts:
Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:13

its rather scary to think that we may have a result next week i don't want to think about it, getting a little worried now. i don't want to know the results.

OP posts:
Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:17

OH MY GOD!!!!

will anyone else be testing next week??

OP posts:
Lottielou · 01/06/2005 16:19

Well i wont be testing at all, i wont need to. AF will prob come smack on time so no need to waste money on tests for me.
I am so fed up today. Was in a great mood this morning but it's kinda took a great plummit downhill as the day has gone on.
I have a crappy headache, it's like a weather headache if that makes sense. I always get them with bad weather. so just had to take some tablets.
I was supposed to be going for a run after work but as it's positivley p*ssing it down, i dont fancy catching a chill so there goes my stress relief outta the window.
I have one more day at work then i can go and chill out in Norfolk, i tell ya not a moment too soon either!
I feel so het up, i hate feeling like this, feels like i cud burst into tears at any point and haven't even got a valid reason!
Arghhhhh
Apologies for sounding so melodramatic!(sp)

Lottielou · 01/06/2005 16:21

Sad Angry Sad

Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:23

ooooohhhhh lottie, so sorry you feel so shitty.
You're AF has been banished, i won't let her turn up, you never know you might be pg.
anyway, our AF's won't have come by next wednesdays you and I will have a week after that before its due. I'm just addicted to testing, and i bet you will be, although the dissapointment is horrible isn't it.
Its funny how the weather affects everyones feelings. its miserable here too, not that we're far away.
I hope you get the rest that you deserve in Norfolk. did you have time off after the m/c? i can't remember?

OP posts:
Lottielou · 01/06/2005 16:31

Thanks Diddle!
I hope she does get banished but you know when you just 'have a feeling'! We shall see.
I had a couple days off but not really enough. I cant wait to go and put my feet up, it really is so peaceful there and there are some lovely walks down country lanes that i cud walk forever!
I am just feeling low, i'll be allright tomo! I'll be even better if the sun comes out!
How are you anyway? x

Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:43

i'm ok thanks, just feeling a little run down i think. Very tired, which is not good because i had a lie in this morning, life is so hectic, counting the weeks till my holiday. only 3 weeks today. can't wait

OP posts:
strike1 · 01/06/2005 16:52

Hello there, new to all this but this seem the most relevant (and frankly slightly mad!) thread to me.

Age - 28
DH - 35
Living in west London
No Children Yet
m/c - Missed m/c 23th May at 10/12 weeks (baby about 7 weeks)

Had my ERPC on Thursday and am just waiting for my first AF till I can try again. It'd be good to share some of the fear of trying again with those who are doing it to. Sorry to waffle on, I don't normally!

Diddle · 01/06/2005 16:59

strike1 - so sorry to hear you have been through the same as us, its a cruel world. You are more than welcome to join our very mad group. everyone has been such a support to me, and we are supporting one another through all the ups and downs or m/c and ttc.
Our stats are at the bottom of the page if you want to know anything about us.

How are you feeling??? was this your first m/c?

OP posts:
Xena · 01/06/2005 17:10

Hi Strike sorry to hear of your m/c mine was the 18/5 although I had my ERPC abit quicker as it was the next day.
Lottielou sorry your having a bad day xxxxx How many AF's have you had since the M/C?

strike1 · 01/06/2005 17:11

First m/s. Getting used to the idea that I'm not pg anymore. Like someone taking away the best xmas present ever. But hopeful about ttc again. Just wish I didn't have to wait, but it's best not to have it happen again if I can help it I guess. Glad to have found you all! Good luck with the multi-testing!

Diddle · 01/06/2005 17:15

i was gutted when i lost my first at the end of January, it is such a horrible feeling after being so happy and positve to have that feeling taken away is so cruel.
I got pg with my 2nd straight away with no AF, and lost it the beginning of April, we have waited this time, purely for psychological reasons. I know plenty of people who went on to have healthy babies without having an AF after their m/c but for our piece of mind we are waiting.
How have you family taken it, and you're DH?

OP posts:
strike1 · 01/06/2005 17:20

Family and DH upset but optimistic for next time. Thanks for uplifting stories, that's why I have been glued to this website for days, you are all so supportive of each other, it must be a real help!

Xena, I waited to have my erpc cause I thought I could handle letting things happen, but it was much tougher than I thought. Are you ttc again now?

Xena · 01/06/2005 17:26

Strike I don't know if youv'e read down the thread but I have 3 other DC's 7,3 and 10.5mths 3/4 of my pgs were concieved immediatly after coming of the pill. I think that its something to do with my PCOS that I have really irregular periods but the pill regulates them. The one time we ttc when we had been using other contraception it took 10mths to conceive, so although a huge bit of me wanted to try again straight away I think that my periods wouldn't be regular so it might be quicker to be on the pill for a month and then try again then so yesterday I started on the pill again

Diddle · 01/06/2005 17:32

xena - it will be your turn soon, its worth waiting a bit IMO. did the doctor advise about the pill for you? was there a time you should wait before going on it again? after a m/c

OP posts:
Xena · 01/06/2005 17:38

Diddle your link that you gave me said that you could go on straight after a m/c. Have tried to get an appointment with my g.p. but not having much luck
