How Early did you find out...............

How many weeks were you when you fouund out you were pregnant?

My first pregnancy i was 5 weeks but this time i have just worked out that i found out when i was only 3 weeks...is this normal? or am i having twins / triplets lol

If the hormone level is high its possible that there is twins there. I found out exactly 4 weeks. Exactly 2 weeks 2days after conception. Although deep down I guessed after the slip up!

First pregnancy 6 weeks and second pregnancy 4 1/2 weeks.

I thought i was 4 weeks when i found out, but i looked on the calendar the other day and worked out i am only 5 weeks and 3 days now and i have known for 2 weeks.....i will look when i started my thread on here as thats the day i found out .....2 secs

I was three weeks when I found out, too, so it's definitely possible.

I used a bog standard Clearblue.

I used a normal clear blue on the wednesday and got neg then on the friday i used a clear blue digital and got a pos and of course i had to re test and got another pos!

I used to wee on the stick but this time i decided to use a pot and dip the stick into the urine....not sure if this helped!

If you do the test on the day after you are due to come onto your period, at that point you are already six weeks. It is exactly six weeks from the second the egg is releast to the time you would normally be expecting your period.miss your period.

I hadn't missed a period though, I had sore boobs and took a test on the advice of the pharmacist. I assure you that I was definitely three weeks pregnant, it is definitely possible.

with ds I just did a test one morning as had a feeling, only 2 weeks after period due, I was!! with dd knew on conceiving, just did.

I had not missed my period either....wendy you have now confused me i thought you were 4 weeks from the day your period was missed!!!

Although it is only 4 weeks from one egg to be releast to the next it the embryo is 6 weeks old by the time your period is due. This is because you allow 14 days for the egg to make its way down the fallopian tubes. That is how it is 6 weeks!

Did I make sense then?

I think I am now confusing myself!

Wendy - I'm afraid you are mistaken. You ovulate 2 weeks before your period is due, so the embryo is 2 weeks old, but you are classed as 4 weeks pregnant, as pregnancy counts from LMP date.

Ahh. I am getting confused as I have an NHS book which say at the end of your mentural cycle you will be 4 weeks pregnant.
In my Birthing magazine it says et the end of the cycle you are 6 weeks pregnant.

Now which do we believe???

It is when your period is due embryo is 2 weeks old (roughly) but you are classed as 4 weeks pregnant. I tested the day after I thought AF was due so found out at 4 + 1 weeks. Same with DD. Although both times something told me AF wasn't coming I knew the day after BD with DD and a few days after with DB, don't ask me to explain it, it was a strange feeling.
