ok...

im on my 2nd round of clomid. 100mg day 12.. im in pain. my insides feel like they have been kicked around and its quite painful low down.

ive phoned the gp and am waiting for them to call me back.. should i be doin anything else???

the first lot of 50mg didnt work and was told to start takin the next lot on day 31 which would then mean that it was day 1! im sorry if that doesnt sound right.. im quite uncomfortable and cant concentrate

are you being monitored on Clomid? you should be as there is a risk of ovarian hyperstimulation which can make you very very unwell which is why anyone, never mind being on 100mg, should be scanned. It is the right thing to do to ring your GP and if I remember correctly the information leaflet with the clomid gives a list of symptons to monitor for. in saying that i do remember being quite uncomfortable on clomid and very unable to concentrate was one of the side effects that became quite normal for me- there is a very good clomid thread both in conception and in pregnancy - ask on there and you may get a better response. best wishes

oh bubble hope you feel better/get some answers soon!!

Have you ever had such pain before?.

Your GP is wrong here in that no, a day 21 test will not suffice.

I would return to your GP and ask for a referral to a gynaecologist at a subfertility unit. You should be monitored whilst on clomid as a matter of course.

Do you have an actual diagnosis?. If you were prescribed clomid without a diagnosis beforehand that is poor practice.

Clomid is usually taken between days 2 and 6 of the cycle.

Thanks atilla

i mentioned the scans etc when they perscribed it and said that you only get those if u go private.

She said that i dont ovulate but does not think that its because of pcos and she has refered me to a specialist.. just waiting for the appointment to come thru.

it feels like back in december when i had terrible pain and was hospitalised. suspected ovarian cyst. by the time i got scanned (3 days later) the pain had gone and they said they think that the cyst had burst.

(i know...its hard to believe they are this unprofessional)

Oh Bubble I really hope you are ok and that pain from december doesn't come back. You need to fight for some better answers if it continues -

Hoping you are feeling ok.
