MARINA COIL

IM 23 SUPPOSE YO GET THE MARINA COIL IN IN A MONTHS TIME IVE JUST HAD MY THIRD BABY AND WANT TO GIVE MYSELF ABREAK OF 4 TO 5 YEARS MY DOC SUGGESTED THE COIL HE MADE IT SOUND GREAT I FEEL A BIT SCARED GETTING IT FITTED I AD BAD CHILD BIRTH EXP AND WAS VERY SORE DOWN BELOW AND I ALWAYS ENDED UP WITH BEEN STITCHED REALLY BAD AND I HATE THE THOUGHT OF ANYONE DOWN THERE AT ALL ESP IF ITS GOING TO HURT LIKE CRAZY IM OVER WEIGHT SO I DONT THINK THE PILL WOLD WORK THAT GOOD AND ALL MY DH HAS TO DO IS LOOK AT ME AND IM PREGNANT ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREAT AND COULDANYONE TELL ME THE PRICE OF THE COIL IM IN IRELAND

ANY GOOD TIPS ABOUT GETTING THE MARINA COIL FITTED IM AFRAID IT WILL BE DEGRADING

My Friend recommended this to me, she is a doctor, her sil is a doctor and the info was that it is highly thought of. I have been on it for a few years now and now have no periods at all! I am still aware of when I should be having a period but with none of the embarrasssing knicker changes that I previously had to endure.
My mood swings are less severe as is my pmt. I certainly would recommend you had a talk to your womens fp health unit- this coil had to be be discussed in one meeting and then fitted at the next by the consultant gynocologist, the biggest problem they have with these is people deciding they don't want it after all! You must be prepared for up to 6 months of erratic bleeding, it was less than this for me but the doctors should be able to talk you through this or give you the info. Make sure they have been on the training course to fit this particular coil.
I would definately have it again.

hi, i had my mirena fitted 4 months ago and am v happy with it, virtually no periods and didnt hurt at all being fitted, i had a female gp which made me feel at ease!
