Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

IT seems I may get my period 7 days after I ovulate. Does that make it impossible to get pregnant?

Please can you advise. I got my period 7 days after ovulation last month, and I am getting symptoms around the same time this month.

Does that mean that even if the egg is fertelised, I will shed the lining of my womb before it implants, and therefore I effectivly can't get pregnant?

Or is that a really stupid question and it doesn't work like that?

Hi, I often have only about 8 or 9 days between ovulating & my period starting & I now have two DC so I don't think it makes much difference.
Also the embryo implants within days of fertilising so you wouldn't get your period if you are pregnant
Hope this helps
