Does anybody know?

Do you generally get OP before during or after you ovulate?

Ovulation pains?

Mine generally started a couple of days before and peaked around ov. Noone seems to know what causes them though so I would be wary of using them alone to pinpoint ov.

thanks Mrs Happy, it would make sense BEFORE you ovulate or just as you do wouldn't it?

I get a generalised ache a couple of days beforehand but on the day of ovulation I have about 6hrs of sharp one-sided pain coupled with a strange constipated type feeling.

6hrs! Poor you, do you know its beforehand and on the day? Do you test?

Not now but when I was ttc I spent 14 months charting/testing. My cycle is the same now as it was pre-dd. On the day I ov, I have the pain, a strange dull headache and feel out of sorts. It goes as quickly as it comes. My body is nothing if not predictable.
