Is there a chance this month?

Having read Mumsnet during my last 2 cycles ttc #1 (now on cycle 3) I've finally decided to take the plunge and join the chat!

I have a very regular 28 day cycle and this time BD on CD14 (pm). Had lots of EWCM on CD15 and lower abdominal ache but neg OPK. Positive OPK and EWCM on CD16 (am) so BD as soon as got result but did not quite "finish" (bloody car alarm!) Did have strong ov cramps on right side on CD16 too. By CD17 OPK was neg again so only one positive day but still some minor ov ache on right side.

Apologies for long post but 1) aren't OPKs supposed to show 2 peak days? 2) do you think BD on CD14 is too early when Ov either CD15 or CD16? and 3) has anyone had sustained ov ache - I thought it is usually only a few hours at best?

It sounds likely, sperm can live for up to five days. Good luck but try not to get obsessed it's early days.

absolutely impossible. no way. at least that's what I thought. we bd cd 13, ov 16 or 17 while DP away so i gave up all hope that month and had a 'month off'. No nervous 2ww. I'm now 6wks pg. There is a thread somewhere - maybe a FF forum -where people have posted links to charts that show impossibly long gaps, some more than a week, between BD and ov! Unlikely tho', have a month off, convince yourself it's not possible and you never know... will keep my fingers crossed for you
