I swore I would never test early (now 12dpo)and I only did so this morning because I had an appnt with a homeopath and had a cheapo sainsbury's test that a friend had given me and I thought, why not? I'm probably not pregnant?!

So I got a faint line within the ten minute window which initially I just passed off as an evaporation line. (I usually always use CB digital so have never read these line tests before). It was early I was tired, and I am just not capable of registering the fact that this could be a bfp.(Had a mc six months ago and since then sadly nothing).

I went to sleep for another hour and when I woke up the line had become slightly darker to the point where it was clearly visible from an armslength away (no squinting under light etc.)

So my question is......do evaporation lines get darker over time? Has this happenned to anyone?

I am going crazy. Will test again in morning.

I'm probably not preggo but this is the first time a test has become a clear positive after sitting around for an hr.

I think you're pregnant! You wouldn't get an evap line in less than 10 minutes. In fact, I've never seen one.... and I've done a lot of tests.... Good luck!

Thanks so much for responding Biccy.

I know the only thing I can do is retest but this has been driving me crazy all day!!

I think I should just always stick to CB digis......I need it very much spelled out for me .

I should add the following: I had a crazy moment two weeks ago when I decided to do a boots test (meant to work from day AF is due, which is CD28 for me) on CD21 (and 7 to 8 dpo). It was faintly positive. It took almost the full 10 minutes to show, and was darker at the top of the line than the bottom (but then so was the control line), and it did continue to darken over time. I did a First Response the next day, and that came up positive really quickly, and also darkened over time.

Oops, crossed posts. Look forward to hearing the results of your retests. Wish I could teleport my spare First Response over to you. Keeping my fingers crossed (we have lost 3 in the last 8 months, so I understand how you may be feeling at the moment). [hug]

Pulled out the big guns this morning -- Clearblue digi and got a Pregnant 1-2 weeks!!!

Incidentally also tried first response and had to really squint to see a line. It became darker as time went on (outside of the testing window) so had I not had the CB digi I probably would not have believed it.

Thanks again Biccy for your words of support.
