Can you have a low temp after ovulation?

I'm currently TTC no.2. I'm still in my first month after coming off the pill, and trying to work out what's going on with my cycle.

Nothing much happened for the first 3 weeks, but then on CD24, 25 and 26 I had tons of EWCM, so I thought that's it, I'm definitely about to OV. Then yesterday, CD27, the CM went back to being creamy/sticky, and my temperature went up (not much, but higher than it had generally been). So I assumed I'd OV'd on CD26, But then this morning, my temp was right back down to one of the lowest readings I've had.

Could I still have OV'd, or does the low temp mean it didn't happen? It was so easy last time, I had a completely standard cycle as soon as I came off the pill, so I'm a bit confused this time!

Hi kentishwoman I think that you can get "odd" temps and that one temp by itself shoudln't be interpreted to mean very much, you need a sustained shift (which can be quite a small one) of at least 3 temps higher than the previous 6. If one dips below, but then you go back up again tomorrow I would just see it as a blip.

This is my first month of temping and I've had a temp shift of lest than 0.2 but it has been sustained so am still hopeful. Good luck.
