we're TTC number 2 and I'm pretty sure I ovulated Tuesday. Didn't manage to do anything before Tuesday night. Should I write this month off or is there still a chance of BFP in a couple of weeks?

Certainly there is a chance. The egg is viable for about 24 hours so, while having the sperm ready and waiting gives the best odds of success, it is still a good idea to continue "trying" all the way through the time you think you might actually ovulate, and even a few days passed for good measure in case your calculations are off.
