Beanie....so glad you have made progress getting help

Have had a read and here's hoping we all get what we want this year. I have been sorting out a few things....work, marriage, family and feeling a lot better... less stressed and happier which can only help.

blackrock we're cycle buddies

blackrock · 09/02/2010 18:59

This is a sign. I have never had an exact buddy before. Hi Claire.

ClaireDeLoon · 09/02/2010 21:39

I hope it will be lucky!

We're kind of taking a break for a few months but then I think I'll ov this weekend and I think DP, despite him suggesting the break, isn't that keen on either using a condom or abstaining. Not that it really matters either way LOL we aren't exactly super fertile.

LaRagazzaInglese · 10/02/2010 12:52

Just to have a miserable rant, didn't actually get to do any BDing due to flu and now im on CD17 flus gone!! sigh. AF due Monday and im not even in the 2WW hoping she dosent turn up. Cue spotty skin and miserablness. P.S haven't heard from job.

blackrock · 11/02/2010 18:01

We left it to the wind, weather, whatever for a while for the exact same reason. We've now had all the tests (took a while to get DH on the ball about it), but he's uber fertile, so now they think I'm not producing eggs....but am producing follicles.

LaRag. Hope next cycle you have some health and BDing.

PistachioLemon · 12/02/2010 16:52

Just updating, hope I did it right. No news here. It's really boring and DH has a bad back so there's absolutely no sex on the agenda at the moment. I'm hoping the GP will sort him out with some physio or something this evening - bloody men - it has taken two weeks to persuade him to go!

ClaireDeLoon · 19/02/2010 09:38

has beanie had her first IVF consultation?

beanieb · 20/02/2010 22:14

Hi all - sorry I haven't been around lately. I am now back on the pill in preparation for IVF near the end of March. I am on CD 15 I think but it kind of doesn't matter so I don't need to be included in the stats.

2 of my DH's friends have just announced pregnancies. Feeling a bit down but desperately trying to be positive as apparently it helps to be so.

hope all are well.

jaamy · 21/02/2010 20:56

Hello! How is everyone? Hope you all had a lovely V day and were suitably spoiled. We didn't go out but had a nice take-away and proper champers which made me very happy!

Another thing that has made me happy is that I kind of, accidentally, got myself a referral to the infertility clinic Yes, after GP refused referral because I already had 2 DDs, the same DH and had 2 MCs in the last 2 years, I saw a lovely locum for a knee problem and came out with a referral to the Womens' Hospital, as you do! but . Think it helped that the locum was about to go on Mat leave herself so was sympathetic to my cause. Anyway, we shall see. Have abdominal scan on 9th March and first appt the following week. Been down this path before and although was successful, it's nearly 8 years down the line.

Beanie - it's so hard to get excited for other people when you want what they have. Hope you get chance to chill out a bit before you start on the IVF.

PL - hope DH's back problem isn't chronic and you will both soon be back in action!

Blackrock and Claire - those elusive little beans might just sneak up on you when you aren't TTC.

LaRag - are you all better now and raring to go for the next cycle? Did you hear about the job?

Beanie - looks like I'm following you around on the stats... Have kept you on the list because it wouldn't be the same without you and we all (I) need all the support we (I) can get!

Hi all, no I still haven't heard from the job, was thinking to phone them ?? AF arrived today so i'm on CD1 of cycle 2 and im taking the advice of a MNer who said to abstain til CD12 then go for it like rabbits! apparently it works. I'll keep you posted. My sister is due to give birth in 2 weeks, so i'm really excited, but I have to say it's making me feel a little bit envious, not in a resentful way obviously, but you know what I mean. (especially because it was unplanned and she doesn't have a clue!) (jokin' jokin')

good luck blackrock

abstaining til day 12 is difficult! don't want to put too much pressure on DH, we're going for a change of routine i.e morning glory, afternoon delight and early to bed!! we'll see

jaamy · 02/03/2010 11:14

Good luck with your helping hand, Blackrock (clomid) - hope it does the business for you. I'm hoping that they will put me on clomid when I see the consultant later in the month. DD1 is a clomid baby so I know it works for me, at least it did 7 years ago!

Hi all.

Back just to update my stats and hope I have updated everyone else ok?

I have started the injections ready for the IVF. Was a bit scary but not too bad. Only done 2 days and so far no side effects yet. I think preparing the drugs is much harder than actually sticking the needle in.

Blackrock hope you are ok, how has the clomid been?

PL hope you are well, any news?

jaamy wave and great news about the referral.

LaRagazzaInglese hope you're at it like rabits

Wave to everyone else.

jaamy · 16/03/2010 14:35

Hello Beanie - good to hear you have started the injections and getting ready for the next step. Please keep us posted on how you are getting on. x

Had a scan last week. All apparently normal but results forwarded to consultant for appt this week. AF all over the place - 5 days late this time and even then it seemed a bit half-hearted. We'll see what is said on Thurs.

Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying this sunshine that we have got..at last!

I will be testing but not sure when the best day is, im going to try and stick it out til Sunday

jaamy · 19/03/2010 15:51

Well, the (12 yo! ) consultant had me in for about 5 mins. Quick fire question round then ordered 2-4 and 21 day bloods and HSG and fully expects to be putting me on Clomid unless anything else crops up in the meantime.

Anyone know how much a course of Clomid costs? Will have to pay for it this time round since we already have DDs.

Good Luck LaRag.
