louisbackagain so sorry to hear about your miscarriage I absolutely understand the it's never going to happen mood. Despite everyone telling me it will it IS hard to stay positive but it honestly does get better.

PistachioLemon - you certainly can show your sister. i stole the sash Idea from someone else on a wedding forum My SIL is so good at making cakes and made all the little flowers herself. Will ask her how she does it.

Ei - thank you too. Good luck with testing.

Lou I'm so sorry, we're all here for you.

PL sorry about the bFN fingers crossed you ovulated late (maybe that sneaky session covered it?)

Beanie lovely photo's looks a very happy day and your dress is great, very clever. You looked lovely btw.

Ei fingers crossed she has stayed away.

PistachioLemon · 28/07/2009 13:23

Hey Claire, thanks, I'm hoping so too. Although I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much.

My left (why only left?!?) boob is absolutely killing me this afternoon but I had sort of sicky period-like crampy feeling in my lower tummy when I was walking home from a meeting earlier so perhaps my period is on its way.

Was asked this morning at the meeting wether my husband and I had children. When I said 'no, it's just the two of us' the response was, 'well you'll soon put that right won't you'. I followed that with a nervous giggle/smile, and a swift change of subject. I'm thinking of making one of those A-board signs to wear when meeting people which says 'DO NOT ASK ABOUT CHILDREN AS REFUSAL TO DISCUSS OFTEN OFFENDS'. Do you reckon it would work?!?

OP posts:
SparklyPseudonym · 28/07/2009 19:59

Hi ladies,
Just popping in to wish you all luck with testing. It's about time there were a string of BFPs here so I'll keep everything crossed for you.
Lou I'm so sorry .
Beanie Congrats on being a Mrs. A honeymoon baby would be fantastic so am sending lots and lots of babydust your way.

Hello to everyone else. Time is passing very quickly here and there's lots to do before baby arrives. Ah well, we'll get it done (eventually!).

Love to all.

PistachioLemon · 30/07/2009 10:37

Had a little clearout, hope that's okay?
Still no TTC news here. Boobies have now calmed down and no longer feel like beaming beacons. Still get the occassional cramp, but nothing else really. Just waiting for AF now.

On the upside. I got myself a job, without even applying for one! Am very pleased (read: smug).

Any news from you guys? Jaamy? Ei?

PL I am very hopeful for you!

What's your new job then, is it at a law firm. Tell all!

PistachioLemon · 30/07/2009 18:46

Hey Claire, yep it's at my old firm (not the one I'll be training at) and it's to work on a specific project. Best yet it's three days a week so I can do other things too. Am very excited.

So how are you? Coming up to the 2WW?

By the way have I done the chart wrong? I just realised I'm on CD31 today! Am not too hopeful but will test again sometime at the weekend if the witch doesn't show up.

How about you Ei and Jaamy? Hope we've got some good news coming.

Sparkly time flies, I can't believe how far on you are already. I guess you're well into maternity clothes now and have a proper bump and everything. What have you still got to do? And when are you going on maternity leave?

Beanie thanks for saying I can show my sister, she's looking for lots of ideas and is very interested in how people are doing things differently. If your SIL is willing to divulge any cake-making secrets I'd also be very very grateful!

PistachioLemon · 03/08/2009 20:21

Thanks Claire. I'm really disappointed as I was beginning to think that something was going on. It has been a really terrible period as well. So painful I was throwing up yesterday morning - at my mother-in-law's house, lovely timing!

We're back at home now so I'm just going to take it easy now. I think I may go to the doc this week as my boobs are still really sore and I've not been this sick with a period for years. Do you think she might just tell me to bugger off and grow a pair?

How are you? And everyone else?

Morning all. I am definitely on CD 24 so I have updated everyone by 2 days and Hope this is correct?
before my miscarriage my cycle was around 25 - 26 days, first bleed I had after the miscarriage was about 18 days after the miscarriage bleeding stopped so I have no idea how long I should be expecting to wait for this one. Absolutely no pregnancy signs and no period signs either so we'll see. Am not getting hopes up reall. Am also going to start back on the Clomid once my period comes.

PistachioLemon · 05/08/2009 11:32

Morning Beanie. Good luck for this cycle - and if not, then hopefully the witch will arrive soon, you can get stuck into the the next Clomid cycle and cross fingers that will do the trick. How are you getting on post-wedding? Do you feel any different? I didn't expect to but definitely did!

Well, my period has finished already - only had a couple of days of really painful bleeding and then just spotting yesterday. I wonder if I didn't ovulate last month and that's why I kept getting EWCM.

Have updated the list too.

Claire, I meant to ask the other day and forgot, did you ever try out the reflexology? I was thinking that once I start working again I can justify going for some, but am interested to hear how someone else has found it (am a chicken emotion).

OP posts:
beanieb · 05/08/2009 12:08

PL - I have had reflexology, stopped after the miscarriage. My first session was really odd a I burst into tears. Was having it every couple of weeks but I had it for so long I don't think it helped with me getting pregnant TBH. Was thinking of trying accupuncture some time as I have heard it's better. The reflexology did have a benefit in that it made me feel great and relaxed

Don't really feel any different now I am married although I seem to be keeping my wicked temper a bit more in check

PistachioLemon · 05/08/2009 12:43

I'm a bit worried about bursting into tears too. A friend of mine was training as a reflexologist quite a few years ago (she's now moved away) and I was her guinea pig for a while. Don't know what she did but I would be in floods of tears afterwards and very very emotional for days afterwards. In the end I said that I couldn't take it any more and she had practice on someone else! I suppose it means (at least for me) that it does something.

Interesting that accupuncture is supposedly better. Think I will do some googling this afternoon. Can you tell I'm bored? Can't wait to start work again.

By the way, I just saw your maiden name vs husband's name thread. Coincidentally I had a very similar conversation recently with a friend who was getting married and my mother. It seems that different countries have very different attitudes to women's names after marriage. I took my husband's name, but mainly because mine is a PITA as I have to spell it to everyone and no-one can pronounce it, but in Quebec women by law must keep their own names when they marry and are actually prevented from taking their husband's name (see article). And in Holland, women traditionally double-barrel, so I would be Mrs [husband's name]-[maiden name] (the opposite way to the English double barrelling) but the children would take the husband's name only. I have to say though, having taken my husband's name, I do miss mine, and sort of wish I'd kept it, if only at work.
