lucyjo82.. i'm 5 days late and also had a negative test yesterday. I'm being advised to take another test and yes, it could be wrong!

i have just seen your post i am glad i am not the only one. i just wish the test were not so costly. but i would have thought the doctors test would have been spot on.

My old doctor told me that they use the same type that you buy from a chemists anyway.

There can be quite a delay in getting a positive on a pregnancy test. When I was pregnant with DS I first tested when 4 days late and got a negative - I tested again when I was a week late and got a positive. He is now 3.8 years. I hope you both get the result you want.

Thanks Azure... i think i'll wait a while and see what happens.. all part of the fun i guess!!

hi,i'm two weeks late and all tests are negative.i have tender nipples and have had dropplets of liquid from my nipples.am i pregnant.

yes wait 3 days (which you have) and test again - the tests all pick up HCG hormone which builds during early pregancy

the OTC tests like clearblue are just as effective as GP tests, in fact have never been tested at GPs they just take your word for it

good luck
