Right ladies, ive been reading up on ovulation and the 'most' fertile window a fair bit lately, it might not be a new concept to some of you but it sure is to me......

ALOT of women DO NOT ovulate mid cycle, some ov RIGHT after af (sometimes during the last day or two of) and alot seem to ov very late on pretty a few days before ov, and your more likely to have these kind of ov times after you have already had a child/children. I know thats perhaps why there are OPK's and taking temps etc, but if most of us are BDing mid cycle and running all our obsservations and test mid cycle, that could be perhaps where we are all going wrong???? Just a thought/idea i guess

QoV after reading your post It does make a lot of sense to me that this could be the answer.
I have thought back to when i fell pg with ds and we only bd once that mth (poor dp lol). Im almost certain that it was just after end of af when we bd, so the above def applies to me.
This is cycle 12 for us for ttc#2 so i think this could be where we're going wrong!!
We are at desperation point at the mo, and have been bding every other day since last day of af so hopefully this will be our month!

Women that do ovulate mid cycle, probably have a 28 day one, so they do ov on cd14 in the middle.

If you have a shorted cycle, you ov earlier, or if you have a longer cycle, you ov later. Its the time after ovulation that never changes for you, if its 12-13-14 past ovulation that your period starts, that mostly staysthe same. Its the bit before ov that changes.

I myself oved 4 days later than normal this month due to being ill. It seems my body naturaly then oved when I was well again. So instead of ovulatin on cd 13, it was cd 17 instead, and if I hadnt took a random ov test, I wouldnt have realised and not of had sex!
