Hi everyone - some urgent advice needed. For some reason, I decided to do a home pg test when I cam home from work today. I am on day 24 of a 28 day cycle. It was a cheapy asda test, that you are supposed to take on the day your AF is due (temptation over took me....)

Anyway, took the test and waited about 1 min - no line. Someone knocked at the door so I left the test and forgot about it.

An hour and half later, just glanced at it, and there is a faint pink line......

Do I disregard it because I left it too long?

Help!!!!

Yes you do. Tests can't be relied upon after the time limit.
Do another tomorrow

Divvy · 14/05/2009 19:00

Do another tomorrow, hope its your month A line is a line though isnt it?

Think I will. Was determined to wait until my AF due but just couldn't!!

I have just tested this morning, and have got a very faint line too! Dont think its a + though, as started my normal pre af spotting on Wednesday, and af always follows but it seems to not be as much as normal.

I will come along to the Feb bus if life is playing a nasty trick on us!

ps have read that those asda tests are very good for early testing

SamJamsmum · 15/05/2009 07:01

I think a faint line is a positive result. Could the spotting be implantation - what is your timing?

Divvy · 15/05/2009 07:10

Spotting started on 10 dpo cd 27.

I am now 12 dpo cd 29.

Also, since my last child, I always get a painful swelling down below before af comes, (linked to bladder prolapse) it did for a day but has gone back to normal now

We even did the deed last night, thinking it would bring af on, it didnt.

SamJamsmum · 15/05/2009 07:13

If you did some baby dancing on ov day or slightly prior then it could have been implantation for sure.
A very faint line is still a line!

Divvy · 15/05/2009 07:16

The timing was near perfect this month, as thought we had missed it, as I had been ill for a few days but I oved a few days later than normal.

Blocka · 15/05/2009 09:55

The spotting sounds like implantation to me - can happen 10 to 14 days after 0v. A line is a line!!!

my pink line is still there, going to test again tomorrow morning. None of my other negative tests ever ended up with a line, even days later (yes, I did keep checking....)

I think yours is a real +, think you did it! I shall be testing until af comes or run out of tests, but I do have 25 to get through!

Divvy · 17/05/2009 15:45

Think i am having a chemical pregnancy as tests are now negative just wait for af now

Anyone want to look at my evaporation lines?

They don't look like negatives to me....good luck.

Divvy · 17/05/2009 20:11

They have a colour to them as well, but as they didnt show till the test had dried a bit, dont think they are positive.

They ebay cheapies are doing the same as well.

I am going to buy one of those thats says the word tomorrow, as this is doing my head in!

Angelfifi · 18/05/2009 07:15
