peroxide and early pregnancy

H, hoping someone might be able to put my mind at rest.
Yesterday i had my hair dyed (all over colour) and the lady actually massaged it into my scalp!

Anyway, today i did a preg test as my period is late, and i got a very very faint positive. So, if i am pregnant could i have done some harm to the baby because of the dye?

Tests have all proved inconclusive/not enough tests have been done - there is no evidence to suggest that peroxide does any harm, it is thought that not enough of it gets absorbed into the skin to do any harm, although equally there is no evidence either way. There are certainly no known cases that indicate harm as a result of peroxide that I am aware of (but someone may come and tell me otherwise!)

I was advised to avoid peroxide in early pg 'just in case' but it was really that, just in case, rather than any indication that harm will be done.

I would say avoid it in future until past 12 weeks, or have it done all over as highlights, but do not worry about it already being done, it will be fine.

And, more importantly...congratulations on your pregnancy

It can take a few minutes, but imo, a line is a line!!! I did clearblue and the line took a while, I was disappointed, and then it appeared, very very faint, but absolutely pregnant! now 13 weeks.

If you are not convinced, take a clearblue or First response, you know the one that says 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant', that would make it clearer!!1

But, it certainly sounds like congratulations to me! Are you pleased?
