Is there any other reason it could be late?

Or could I be pregnant still?

Sorry to bump but not sure if I should be going to the docs or just leaving it for now?

Are you normally regular? How old are you?

Castiel · 14/05/2009 13:29

Are you stressed at all? Were you going through anything stressful or were you ill mid-cycle when you usually ovulate?

LuckySalem · 14/05/2009 13:30

The only stressful thing was holiday where daughter was being a nightmare but she's a nightmare anyway LOL.
Am normally fairly regular - anywere from 28-31 days cycle and i'm now on day 45 (I think)
Am 24.

I got a positive on day 42 (I think) when I had had three negatives on days 30,35 and 40 or similar. Was tearing my hair out as had been TTC for 18 months.

I went to the doc on day 40 saying "why is my period late if I am getting negative tests" and she just said "hmm, not really sure, come back next week if you still haven't come on". Looking back am surprised she didn't offer to test me but as I had only tested again that morning I guess she didn't think it was worth it. Can't hurt going to doc, you might get a free pg test there if nothing else!

LuckySalem · 14/05/2009 13:35

Well I did a test yesterday with a negative (first thing in morning and everything)

Am getting crampy period type pains and have none of the symptoms I did with DD.

Originally I was going to test next week and if still negative then go to docs but I'm not sure if its something I should worry about is all.

Thanks for your replies everyone.

It may be delayed ovulation- extremely common- or an anovulatory cycle. You may also be pg. Some women just don't show up until they're a few weeks. The GP tests won't be more sensitive than yours. Wait a week, test again and perhaps GP then if you're still no wiser.

LuckySalem · 14/05/2009 13:37

We only had sex once this month. If I ovd on the right day then I could be pregnant if I ov'd late then I'm definatly not.

I thought even if you didnt release an egg then you still had a period?

OP posts:
Castiel · 14/05/2009 13:42

Yes but period may be delayed.

LuckySalem · 14/05/2009 13:46

ahh right - waiting for the non-existent egg.

Ok well that makes me feel a little better - I've had alsorts of worries like etopic pregnancies and stuff so thanks for this.

Have tested again and its another neg.

I'm tired, I'm upset all the time and Ive got heartburn same as with DD.

I'm really getting stressed now. I just feel like sitting in a dark room till I can get a docs apt.
