Is it normal for cervix to change after having DC?

TMI alert. I've just started TTC no.2 (I have a DS of 19 months). I'm doing symptothermal charting again, and one of things I'm trying to spot is changes in my cervix. Last time round, although my cervix changed position during the month, it always felt quite firm, and the little hole just felt like a small dimple. This time round, I have been really surprised to find that the cervix is very soft, and the hole is really noticeable (even more so now I'm in the middle of my cycle). Is this kind of change normal after you've had children, or is there something else going on??

I think once you've dilated once it never really closes tightly again.

once you have delivered, your cervix is 1cm open or so for ever more! the shape of it is different after birth too. so it sounds absolutely normal to me.

That's great, thanks! And I guess if I do conceive again, I can think along the lines of 1cm down, only 9 to go .
