clomid & gonadotrophin injection

Anyone who's had this, did you find that you did actually ov about 36 hours after the injection? Is it that reliable? Am trying to figure out when we can do the deed in an extremely hectic day..., had the shot yesterday morning, parents arriving to stay today and sleeping in our bed, plus horrible SIL's 50th birthday bash tonight etc etc. Trying to think calm karma thoughts and failing!

tetleytea - I think you actually ov a little later than that as I had to take it 36 hours before my egg collection for IVF and obviously they needed the eggs to still be there. Remember though that it takes time for sperm to reach the egg - about 14 hours according to Great Sperm Race but sperm can survive for 2-5 days in the fallopian tube, wheareas egg only lasts for 6 to 24 hours, so best try earlier rather than later.
