during my smear the nurse commented that i have a retroverted cervix. bit of a shock really. does anyone else have this? and could it be a factor in the rmc situation?

found this for you from this i'd say it wouldn't usually cause a problem

sorry just seen that's a retroverted uterus but often the two go hand in hand.

PMSL at myself have just realised the cervix is the neck of the uterus so of course they go hand in hand.

it says here there's no link with miscarriage

It is absolutely nothing to worry about. It just means your womb is tilted backwards rather the more common forwards tilt.

This is the way it is in least 1 in 4 women and it is absolutely of no relevance to anything at all and does not cause any problems.

Don't worry!

thank you, just thought it may be something that i can bring up with cons on the 18th!

Its quite common, I only found out when the poor dr couldn't get a coil in years ago
I did ask at my recurrent mc appointments if it was linked and was repeatedly assured that it could not have caused mc.
Hope your appointment on the 18th gives you a PLAN.

thank you. i suppose im just shocked that with the amount of doctors who have peered up my nether regions and messed about with them, it took a smear to pick up on it!!
