QUICK POLL: If you had what you thought was an implantation bleed, did you actually turn out to be pregnant or not?

sorry but no.

first month we tried i was looking out for any symptoms and had a slight bleed that i thought was implantation and i then got my period the next day.

for the next few months after that i noticed that i always got this slight bleed the day before af.

it has prob always happened but i just never noticed because was not "looking" for preg symptoms.

fingers crossed for you though.

I had a brown bleed at about 7 DPO (hard to tell exactly how many DPO as I have pcos and ridiculously long cycles) I thought AF had finally arrived after a stupidly long cycle but my "bleed" is now 6 weeks old and asleep in his baby chair

YES - Implantation bleed a week earlier than AF.

Yes - with this pregnancy. Must have been about a week, maybe 5 days before my period was due so too early to do a pregnancy test. I had a very small spot of bright red blood when I went to the loo. It was small but definitely there and I thought that it must be an implantation bleed - and it was!

It was so small though that I imagine it could easily be washed away whilst passing urine - I did not notice it with previous 2 pregnancies.

oooh, more more more! I know I shouldn't build false hope (I did a £1 test earlier and it was negative but I think I'm only between 8 and 10 dpo so probably not enough hcg yet) but can't help being excited as it was exactly as implantation bleeding is described, and 10 days before af due.

No, 'fraid not. Had very light bleeding about five days before my period due. Was early AF. Still ttc

i searched for impaltation bleed in the archives and found a lot of good information there.

please try and not get to excited though, i was also convinced as it was just as i had heard it being described and it turned out to be nothing.

really hope you are pregnant though, and hopefully we might end up on the same antenatal threads if i get lucky this month

Yes I had implantation bleeding - but I only found out 6 weeks later as I thought it had been a pretty sketchy period - not out the the norm for me. Anyway I was 10 weeks pregnant (found out at dating scan 2 weeks later) - I had told GP about the bleed he assumed it was my last period and estimated my delivery date as a month later - nice shock when I was told I was further along than I thought!

Yes, had it once and was indeed pregnant. It was on CD10 and I actually thought af had arrived early and was upset.

I had a bizarre spot of blood on 3DPO (so very early for implantation) on the month I was pregnant unfortunately it ended in MMC at 10 weeks so back to TTC but was only month I had "implantation bleeding" that didn't then turn into period.

Same as shavenhaven, I really it 1st month we were ttc as was only 8-9dpo but it was spotting before period for me.

Sorry - i had that last month... got really excited, but came on 5 days later.... this month was 2 days late... came on today... gutted! Im sure my body is playing games with me! Normally im so regular!!

Sorry to hear about all your bad news. I'll really try not to get too excited then, it's just reading all the literature online it seemed like an almost dead cert.

I had what I thought was a light period - turned out to be DD1. I was travelling quite a bit (was in the US when I came on, as I thought) so put the very light period down to my body clock being shot to bits.

fedup, i had implantation bleed with my dd, didnt know it was that however at time and panicked, well doctor panicked me with the look on his face actually. I was about 6 weeks pregnant, so baby must have been implanted by then....strange.
in case you had not realised our bodies are a BIG mystery and do not follow a pattern, just when you thought you were on top of it, it changes and gives you a surprise. some women bleed when they ovulate too.

Hi guys , I had spotting 5 days after ovulation and then stopped for a day and been spotting since then.. does anyone know what it could be. I’ve been testing but all negative. 33 day cycle currently on day 31

Hi, I’ve just recently had spotting a week before my AF was due which I thought was implantation. Turned out to be nothing for me, my AF started 4 days later. Fingers crossed for you 🩷
