How late can you get implantation bleeding?

Usual cycle 28-30 days. Did a hpt day 31 and got a bfp. Now we were supposed to be having this month "off" as we'd been trying for some time and I was getting a bit fed up with it all, so (tmi alert) only bd'd on day 14.

Had a small amount of bleeding day 32 (4 days ago) - so about day 17-18 post conception prob. I thought implantation bleeding was around 7-10 days post conception. Still feel pregnant (second time round). What do you think? Not sure whether to allow myself to start getting excited yet. Thanks.

Hi dcb, have you had any more bleeding since day 32? Bleeding in early pg is quite common. I had one large spot of bright red blood when i was about 7 or 8 weeks pg with my ds.

Had none since thankfully.

Hi dcb, I've just started a thread on the opposite of this

Congrats on your bfp by the way, that's great! I've had implantation bleeding in all of my pregnancies, ranging from CD25 to starting the day of the bfp (CD28/29) and that one lasted for four days.

The idea of implantation bleeding, I think, is that the bleeding occurs when the embryo has finished burrowing down into the womb lining, which normally coincides with when AF is due.

I would say that your bleeding just about fits that description so try to relax for the time being Good luck with your pregnancy, and I hope it's a long and smooth one
