Is AttillatheMeercat or any other fertility experts around?

Hi, Have been ttcno2 without success, have been referred and waiting for appointment with specialist. I picked up my results today and it shows that my progestrone levels were 1 which is obviously very low. My fsh levels were much better they were 5.1 but were taken on day 21 not day 3, how reliable is this result if not taken on the correct day?

Thanks as always.

Am not an "expert" but have had many of the tests etc done.

The progesterone level is certainly not indicative that ovulation has occured.

As you are aware FSH (together with LH) should be tested around day 3.

Has your man been tested at all to date?.

I hope you get your referral appt through soon.

Attila

Can I piggyback on this thread to ask Attilla a question?

If my cycle has two temp phases - higher for the 13 days before my period and a drop the day before my period, is this a definite sign of ovulation?
Thanks xxx

Thanks Attila. The FSH level is lower than the LH which I think indicates a problem and could be indicative of PCOS? My GP isn't going to check my bloods on day 3. Do you know if FSH levels fall or rise later in the cycle?

I suppose I am just going to have to wait for the referral appt, I have been trying to get referred for ages as I have suspected that I had PCOS since ds was born.
