I had my baby 8 weeks ago and bled after birth for 5 wksish and we started having sex around 4 wks after. We have been careful only one night the condom came off (but we stopped straight away) and another we used the withdrawal method. Anyway I had some brownish blood (hardly any tho) on weds and thought it was my period beginning but it didn't start as i'd expected and then the next day I had the same but a little lighter and its now three ays on and no period. Is this normal after birth? It would be my first period if it is possible for it to be so light, i'm slightly worried its an implantation bleed. Anyone any experience of this? Could I be pregnant so quickly again?? Please help.

anytime you have unprotected sex or a contraception failure you could be pregnant. you can be super fertile after the birth, so yes, it is more than possible

By 4 wks after (we started having sex) I meant after we'd had baby, sorry that wasn't written well.

if your period is late then you should get an accurate result with a home pregnancy test

That's just it I haven't had a period since I had the baby so I dont know if it is late or not, it's only the random bleed/discharge that has made me think I was coming on.

are you breastfeeding?

if it is a couple of weeks since the unprotected sex you could test
