I am driving my boyfriend nuts, we have been together 5 years and I am sooo ready to have a baby. We plan to get married this year, is it going to be hard to get pregnant because of my age?

How long is a piece of string!!

You are still young enough not to have problems. Have you had fertility probs in the past?

It took me very little time at 34, but that's no indication of anything really.

Female fertility does dip fairly sharply after 35 but that doesn't really tell you what your own situation will be.

Took me two months ttc, saying that some people can take years from the age of 21.

It all depends on your individual fertility, some women just have to sit on the wrong chair even in their 40's

When I got to know my cycle, I got pg fairly quickly at the age of 36, and then got pg very very quickly at the age of 38 - twice. Lost both sadly but I'm still a bit chuffed that I can get pg at first attempt at my age. Now if I can just keep them going....

I think by the time we are married I will be 35. My mom is even scaring me. Thank you for all this advice!

Hopes, remember your body doesn't have a calendar... it doesn't know the day you're 35. Your fertility doesn't plummet off a cliff the day after your 35th birthday. Try not to get too hung up on it, because stress can be a cause of infertility too.

There is a thread on here for a load of us who are mid 30s and ttc, come along and join us; www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/733956-Mid-Thirties-First-time-TCC

Hopes, I was 34 in June last year and started trying that month and fell PG straight away (after only coming off the pill in April after 16 years on it...).

Unfortunately had a very early MC (5 weeks) but 6 weeks later was PG again. Now almost 33 weeks PG and the end is in sight!!

So, we were very very lucky, but that doesn't meant that you can't be too!! Good luck and I hope it works quickly for you!

xx
