ok, i'll try and keep this short. I came off pill in September, periods went straight to regular, 32 day cycle, then, last cycle, was 39 days, now this cycle is already at 44 days, no BFP (done 3 tests, day 33, day 38 and day 44). no sign of period yet, although last few days I wore a pad just in case, and there has been the faintest trace of pink [sorry if tmi!] (normally I go within hours from a bit of spotting to full flow).
I know periods can be delayed by stres, but don't feel particularly stressed at the minute, in fact have just had a lovely two weeks catching up with family .

any suggestions?

and, I'm going to see gp about an ongoing (and unrelated) condition today, should I raise this with him?

Hi dancingqueen

How long were you on the pill? I was on the pill for 16 years. When I came of it I thought my periods had returned to fairly regular, then had a couple of 40+ days thrown in for good measure. It all seems to have settled down again now.

If you're going to the GP anyway I'd mention this. Put your mind at rest.

Good luck, x

only for 5 years, and I had a 4 month break half way through that time, but its interesting that yours looked regular then did that...
also wondering what the faint pinkyness is over hte last few days, this is totally unlike how my periods normally begin?

Hi dancingqueen. I had a mirena coil for 1 year. After having it removed had 4 25-days cycles (my usual before dd was 32-34) and now am on cd 45. Around cd 30, 38 and now have light pink spotting that disappears after a couple of days. It's driving me insane!!
Had really sore breasts around cd 38, but not anymore....
Can't face another BFN so decided not to test for another week! May the courage be with me!

As soon as I started TTC (three months ago) my cyle went from a very short 21 days to 29 days - have no idea why unless I was just willing AF not to arrive so much that it didn't - since then it has gone back down evey month by 1 day so last month was 28, this month is 27 - v. wierd!

I definitely think you should mention to your Doc though as they may do a test/offer an opnion. Plus the trace of pink could be implantation bleeding. Fingers crossed its a good sign.

I mentioned to doc, but only had time for a very brief chat as discussing strategy for my injury took most of the appointment.
he said sometimes periods can just be delayed for a bit, and not to worry. He said if I wasn't getting positive on preg test then I wasn't pregant

however.... I realised afterwards I didn't mention the pink traces. it was like almost a pastelly pink (sorry tmi) and not much at all. only happened for a few days and now havne't had any today.

i did a bit of googling and it did sound a bit like implantation, but wouldn't I have had a positive by now?

sorry for all the questions!
