clomid - ov indicators the same?

Can anyone help - i already posted this on the clomid thread, but no joy, and find myself obsessing...

I'm on my 1st cycle of clomid, not being monitored with scans, which apparently is dodgy...

What I'm trying to understand is: will ewcm signs be the same as in a cycle without clomid? What about my temperature - will it follow the same pattern and will ov sticks still work? (I DON'T have PCOS)

Thanks!!

I found EWCM increased (only slightly but I had hardly any before) and ov sticks also worked for me. Didn't temp but assume it will be the same. I assume you will have a day 21 blood test to check you have ov'd and the dose is right?

PS I wasn't monitored with scans either - had blood test in 1st month to check I had ov'd and that was it. They simply said come back if you're not pg and let us know if you are...

Thanks nomoremagnolia.

Another question - is it true you're supposed to ov 5 days after you take the last clomid pill?

I've just checked my diary where I wrote all the dates down - here's what the instructions say:
take tablets days 2-6, ov between day 12 and 16(6-10 days after last tablet), af between days 26-30 (14 days after ov)
I tended to have a 28/9 day cycle on clomid and I did get a +ive OPK, I think on about day 15 (I'm afraid I can't remember too well, but it was towards the end of when I thought it would be!)

On Clomid my ewcm completely was lost, but I didn't think too much about it, then the lining never really thickened as the fols developed - another side effect of Clomid. They put me on estrogen to help thicken the lining, but still no BFP... yet!
