Clearblue with conception indicator has me worried already

Does anyone have any experience of the conception indicator thingie reading "Pregnant 1 - 2" when you are just over 4 weeks ? I should be 4+2 today and held out till today to test, owing to complete and utter lack of symptoms other than AF being overdue.

I have a clockwork 28 day cycle to the hour and am pretty sure I ov'ed on CD14. BD was evening of CD13. Today is CD30

I had a BFP back in Sept that sadly ended in MC at 11+5. That time, my boobs were excruciating and my hair had stopped coming out when I brushed it - this time, nothing. I am sure I felt implantation but have no symptoms at all and that fact, coupled with the Conception Indicator result is making me feel that this pregnancy is doomed already.

I know the only real answer is to wait a couple of days and test again, but could do with some positive stories (or a virtual slap !) to keep me going .....

Mine did this and I am now 35 weeks. Date for EDD spot on to af dates too.

That seems about right. If you are 4 weeks and 2 days pg then it would be about 2 weeks since conception took place. You are considered to be 2 weeks pregnant at ovulation because it isn't usually possible to pinpoint ovulation/conception. Thats why its a conception indicator because if it was a pregnancy indicator it would mean you are only just ovulating.

Katlonka - yes, that does make sense. I think I'm just being irrational because last time I had a 29 day cycle, tested on CD28 (13DPO) in the afternoon and got a PG 1 - 2. Since I am testing 3 days later this time, I was hoping for more, but my rational side is telling me that it must have been a BD earlier in that last cycle that caught the egg.

I will just keep everything crossed, eat and drink all the right things and leave my head in the sand for a few weeks

At least I have a reason to come off my diet and eat chocolate now - haven't had any for 7 weeks !!

Jules - congratulations on your BFP.

I had exactly the same thing happen with a CBD. My pregnancy is fine - and I am even measuring a day or two ahead of where I should be (I also know when I ovulate very precisely).

Just checked my diary and I'm actually only 4+1 today, not 4+2 as I thought previously, so although it now seems a longer journey to get to an early scan, I'm happier with the Clearblue result

I also went into the birth announcements forum and read a few birth stories - hopefully the floods of tears that produced are another good symptom

You're welcome . Just relax and try to enjoy your pregnancy. FWIW I didnt get any symptoms with this pregnancy until 6-7 weeks and since then have been sleeping for Britain. A lack of symptoms doesn't mean a thing (and at 4+1 you wouldn't really expect any - there's plenty of time for all that!).

Hello - I'm new to MN.

Have only been TTC for first child since Jan 09 and got a BFP on Sat 11th April. Oddly came as a HUGE shock!
Yesterday kept having palpitations and felt very tense in my stomach. Had a bit of a freak out really.
Just did Conception style test and it says Pregnant 2-3.
So I guess I really am!

Am TERRIFIED!

Are you me ??? !!!! It looks as if we share the same year of birth as well as the same name ...

If the conception indicator says 2 - 3, that means you are really 4 - 5 weeks pregnant as you date from the first day of your last period. If you go to the Antenatal Clubs section, you should find threads for Nov and Dec due dates and will find loads and support and advice there from others due in the same month as you If things go well, I'll feel brave enough to join the Dec thread sometime soon ...

Thanks for the Antenatal thread tips - I'll check them out. Hopefully they'll provide the comfort and support that I need to ease my current neurotic state.

Have just done another one and it STILL says Pregnant 1 - 2

BD CD 13
OV CD14
Implantation bleed CD24 (10DPO)
AF was due CD28 (14 DPO)
BFP CD30 - Pregnant 1 - 2
Now CD35 - STILL Pregnant 1 - 2 when I should be 5 weeks tomorrow

Should I be worried that HCG levels are not rising quickly enough or am I (hopefully) being paraniod ?

This is really messing with my head I think I have developed mild low level nausea over the past couple of days and I think my boobs are slowly starting to get tender, but no other symptoms so I just don't know if this pregnancy is doomed aswell

Trying to stay positive - will try another Clearblue before I see the GP on Tues

jools Unfortunatley we can't take you to a spa and organise a full day of pampering for you so I am going to say this very slowly r-e-l-a-x. Bloody technology dosn't work half the time anyway and is definately the very work of the devil. Give that mrjools a big hug and recline eating grapes all afternoon.x
