How likely is this? I feel some usual symptoms - boobs tender & swollen, massive appetite, fluid retention, tiredness...

I'm in my mid 40s & dh is 59 (& was made redundant in Dec), we have 2 dcs (5&8) both of whom have health problems - probably genetically inherited.

God, I'm scared out of my wits!

It's possible, but unlikely. Depending on how the tubal was done, there can be an occasional reconnection. Generally, however, they are considered permanent.

The other aspect is age....it is not the norm to become pregnant without medical assistance in your mid40's. Certainly it can happen, but it is not common. The two together obviously give you very low odds of being pregnant.

Might be hormonal fluctuations....possibly due to perimenopause, possibly due to ovulation or if your period is due soon.

Of course, see how things go....try a pregnancy test or see your gp if you continue to have possible pregnancy symptoms.

It is not that common, but I do know of somebody who got pregnant 3 times after having it done three times

if you had it done at the same time as a c.section there can be a slightly increased risk of failure

if you are 9 days away from your period, would you even be having pregnancy symptoms so soon?

betst thing to do is test when you are due, if you don;t get your period and then take it from tehre
