New thread ladies. For those that don't know this is a thread to discourage early testing, dissapointment and bank loans!!

STEP AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning!

Clwc - I did try changing the email settings - I'll investigate further

PL do you usually ov after CD18? Have you been temping long?

I'm a little tempted to test today, I'm on CD23, think I ovulated on CD14 or 15 (though this wasn't backed up by any science and is only surmise) and it's pay day.

Plus I foolishly decided to start temping already even though I'm in the middle of a cycle - to get used to doing it and get accurate data next cycle. Now it's making me think about tests.

Testing is a very bad idea: 1. it's too early, 2. a BFN will ruin my weekend, 3. I'm trying not to test and testing won't help acheive that.

PistachioLemon · 28/05/2009 12:16

Hi Fridays, DON'T TEST - buy something nice instead for the same price as an HPT - result: money much better spent, weekend not ruined, and you will not have tested.

I've been temping for three months now and on the first two months I had a really clear temperature dip around CD16/17 before ovulation and then a really clear shift upwards after ovulation. This month I haven't had any pre-ovulation dip but they are drifting upwards so I don't know what's been going on.

FridaysIminlove · 28/05/2009 12:29

Hi PL, that's a bit annoying! Maybe you're just going to ovulate a bit later this month for some reason unknown? OR maybe you did ovulate already but temp was a little higher on dip day due to some external factor. I like your 'in two weeks time' attitude. I need to adopt this too...

I'm going to avoid leaving the office on my lunch break so I can give the chemist a wide berth. I'm hoping this will do the job. I thought I was doing really well this month after feeling monumentally dissappointed last month (no particular reason)!

PistachioLemon · 28/05/2009 19:16

Thanks Fridays, I have huge exams next week so maybe that's affecting them (although last time it didn't seem to make any difference).

Did you manage to avoid the chemist?

proudestmummyever · 28/05/2009 21:02

PistachioLemon · 30/05/2009 17:22

Hey Lissie, how are you?
It's very quiet on here. Everyone must be outside and enjoying the sunshine.

Good news everyone, FF is saying I did ovulate! Woohooo! Hope it's right! The thing is it was the day I was in a foul mood so nothing happened, but we did manage the day before so hopefully that'll be enough.

PME LOL at sneaking back to your own house to have sex - reminds me of being young again!

PistachioLemon · 31/05/2009 10:32

Morning Lissie. Sorry to hear you've been ill - does this mean you are now on the 2WW?

OracleInaCoracle · 31/05/2009 12:40

it does indeed. the longest 2w of my life. the last 2w have really dragged. did i post the results of my scan on here? (am having a dizzy day)

How is every1? xx

Clwc · 01/06/2009 17:57

Hello all.

I almost melted today whilst doing some gardening for a nonagenarian on my street. Time for a nice, long bath with the radio on, methinks.

I hope everyone's well.

Oh, and pme, don't you dare start testing again next week!!!!!!!!

xx

proudestmummyever · 01/06/2009 19:28

Hey! No I will try not to Clwc lol,cd18

Angelfifi · 02/06/2009 09:31

Hi ladies,
Hows things here haven't been here for a while been busy in the garden trying not to think about the ttc thing! Not sure when i ov'ed as i can't work out the tests i got they showed up a line but was not as dark or thick as the control line, and now back to nothing. So we shall see just have to wait and see what happens!!
Whats everyone else been up to?

PistachioLemon · 02/06/2009 15:07

Afternoon all. How are you all doing?

Lissie I don't think I've heard about your scan results yet (or if you did post, I missed it) are they ok? How's the 2WW treating you?

Clwc what a kind neighbour you are. Actually I'd help mine but all the nonagenarians near me tell me off for doing my garden wrong so I don't think they'd let me near theirs. Actually my garden is fine but everything's a bit more trial and error than in their regimented plots.

PME STEP AWAY (just in case!)

Angelfifi so you're on the 2WW two with me and Lissie. Good luck! I never got on with the OV tests so I don't bother any more, and just do temping and charting.

Well no news here I'm afraid and no symptoms yet. I did feel like throwing up last night and this morning...BUT... that is definitely attributable to exam nerves so don't get too excited. Anyway, I have decided that next month is the month because I will have finished my course and then I can really relax - going to book a nice long weekend away around ovulation time(or week if I can persuade DH) so we can get away from it all and just have some time out. Bliss!

Clwc · 02/06/2009 17:13

Hi PL

I'm not that kind... Gardening is my job, so I did get paid But I don't charge her full whack.

The boss (me) let me have a day off today, due to the blazing sunshine.

Fingers crossed for your 'conceptionmoon' next month xx

PistachioLemon · 02/06/2009 19:00

It is your job? Did I know that? I WANT to be a gardener but somehow I'm going to be a stupid bloody lawyer - bah! (Well, if I pass these exams anyway)

Woohoo, sunshiney days off are the best. Hope you are enjoying it.

My DH works for himself too and because I'm at home studying at the moment we get lots of 10 minute tea breaks together in the garden and it's so nice just to sit in the sunshine and not be cooped up inside. He claims he doesn't do it when I'm not there but I'm not too sure...good job he doesn't have a lap-top or I'd probably come home to find him setting up camp out there!

Clwc · 02/06/2009 20:00

Yes. I'm a self-employed gardener. I don't know if you knew that or not. Anyway, it's a lot of hard work, in all weathers, for not much money. It has been very quiet until recently. I only had today off for health reasons... Sunshine and heat makes me very weak, headachy and nauseous, unless I can take a dip in the sea, of course

Tomorrow, I have to try to make up for the work I didn't do today.

At least being a lawyer, the cash (mmmmm, cash ) will start rolling in. Best of luck for your exams xx

PistachioLemon · 02/06/2009 20:13

Thanks Clwc, I've not got long to go now so at least I can see the end goal.

But hopefully one day I will be able to retire and garden (and the idea is probably more fun to me because I don't have to do it every day and it's just my garden whereas as you say, you're out rain or shine). That's the plan anyway!

Hope you don't have to work too hard tomorrow.

ReneRusso · 02/06/2009 20:31
