Hello Pistachio, I am fine and dandy thank you you?

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 15:54

Well... CD28... and the witch hasn't shown up yet although temps were very low this morning so I think she's coming soon

However, no symptoms either, except for mild cramping for the last week or so (which is nothing unusual for me). Last month was a 32 day extravaganza so gonna try to hold out until day 35 (my longest ever cycle) before testing. Wish me luck!

nunnie · 11/05/2009 16:07

Good luck, and well done for getting this far without caving
Don't know what cycle day I am on and I don't care .

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 16:09

Hey nunnie, that's wonderful. I'm hoping to be like that next month - final set of exams coming up so there will be no time to obsess over my temp/CM/dodgy symptoms (I hope!).

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 17:18

Hmmm, the witch has arrived (predictably)

Liskey · 11/05/2009 17:52

Sorry to hear that Pistachio - better luck next month.

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 18:26

Thanks Liskey. I was kind of expecting because my temps this morning... still a little gutted though.

How are you this afternoon?

Liskey · 11/05/2009 18:39

Still getting cramps in my stomach and still feeling terrified which is so daft!

I wanted to get pregnant and then when I do I'm scared. I keep thinking how huge a responsbility children are and how we'll cope, which we would do I'm sure. Still if it works out then we've got 9 months to get used to the idea

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 18:44

I think I'd be terrified too - not daft at all!

Do you have a doctor's/midwife appointment yet? So excited for you!

Liskey · 11/05/2009 18:51

I was going to leave getting a doctors appt for a bit just to make sure it continues. I do sound very cautious but thats the mc.

ReneRusso · 11/05/2009 19:23

Pistachio, or anyone else out there, can you tell me about the temperature thing: can it be any type of thermometer? And what time of day do you test? can i use this method in place of OPK? thanks

OracleInaCoracle · 11/05/2009 19:35

liskey, omg! thats great news. congrats!!

renee, temping is where you take your WAKING temp and you chart it. when your temp peaks you are oving. it dips again right before your period. it can be quite accurate but not for a couple of months, because you need to see your body's cycle.

OracleInaCoracle · 11/05/2009 19:36

here

PistachioLemon · 11/05/2009 20:01

Hey ReneRusso, I use fertility friend to chart mine... you get 30 days free trial and then you can pay for the bells and whistles version or continue with a free but pared down version.

You do need a special basal body temperature thermometer though.

OracleInaCoracle · 11/05/2009 20:33

iirc boot do a temping kit.

ReneRusso · 11/05/2009 21:44

thanks for the info

Liskey · 12/05/2009 08:01

Temping worked for me!
I've stopped panicking so much today - it was just the shock really.

Hello one and all, sorry Pistachio and good luck with the 'I don't care what cycle day I am on' next month . I still don't care!
PME - so sorry to here poor Jack had a bad day, must take it out of you all . If you don't want to test do what I am doing I have spent the last few weeks buying things for my dd in the for sale section on here, even if I wanted to test now (which I don't) but if I did I couldn't afford a test now
